Ronker ~ Good going on AF days!!! I don't know about beetroot jc. but I do love the low sodium version of V-8 juice which contains beets as well as many other veggies.
      V8 - V8—The power of vegetables
I spice it up with grilled jalapenos, some horseradish & some fresh ground dried Chile De Arbol Peppers/also some tumeric which is very good for you.

Spicy enough that it will wake you up faster than a double espresso . Anyway I love the spicy juice and I think(?) it is good for you as it also contains a good amount of potassium.

Butlers are one of my faves here for a special gift or a "get me out of the office" treat. And always have a hot chocolate (european style) with Mr B and his boy in school holidays as it is close to where I work.

I'm not sure about beetroot! It is a root crop so would make sense for it to be a winter one, but I always associate it with summer!!

Have beetroot, yoghurt and roasted carraways on the menu for tomorrow.

Thanks for the suggestion Ronker. I love beetroot in sandwiches and burgers, so can't imagine I'll have a prob drinking it with apple juice. I've seen the one you're mentioning at the shop.

Ta again and glad you're doing so well AF

Ronker - fresh betroot should be readily available in Oz from around now until early in the new year. And I dont know about where you are but here it is really cheap. Farmer's markets???

The recommended is a 1/4 cup in mornings to start, google it for more info.

Just remember the juice in the beetroot jar is mainly vinegar, you need to buy the actual prepared beetroot juice, its nice, and even better when you know its fixing up your liver.

Watched rain in my heart last night, after that itys gonna take a lot for me to drink again!

MM - I don't think people realize that they are likely setting their kids up to be drinkers. After all, how do kids learn but by imitating their parents? I can remember hating smoking when I was young - my dad smoked. I swore I would never do it but sure enough I did. Finally gave it up but just like alcohol it was a ball and chain for many years!
