I'm starting my rest of the year sober challange today!

ML it has been much easier to look at one night at a time and not the long haul! In the morning I can say I don't ever want to drink again but at night I just say I will not drink tonight. . .so for today, this first sober friday, I will not drink tonight. I'll worry about tomorrow when it gets here. Hope you have a great day!

MyLife I had the same temptation - was about to order a beer at a restauarnt - what came out of my mouth was "lemonade"!! I am so glad. Jenn - I hear ya - in the mornings I am sooo not ever drinking... evenings.. it starts to with what the heck only one or two ....

Looking forward to an AL free night - Fridays are my hardest...long week...time to wind down...etc, etc. Can't wait to feel strong Sat am.

Good morning guys! Happy to check in Saturday morning AF! Starting day 15 -- woohoo!

Had another challenge last night, dinner with old friends we used to go out drinking with years ago. Sharky, I thought of you and instead of "wine" my mouth said "club soda with lime". :H

My girlfriend commented on it once, but other than that, no one really noticed or cared! I had a great time -- actually remember the conversation and enjoyed participating! Felt great when I went to bed and had a great sleep and woke up early NOT hungover.

Couldn't wait to come here and tell you guys! So great to have this support.

Thanks Jenn for the reminder that night time is "just for tonight". You are both so right about the mornings being such strong times and at night...well it's ODAT.

I'm starting my rest of the year sober challange today!

I am happy to say I made it through Friday AF also! I got up this morning, went for a run, at breakfast, and did some shopping at Walmart! Now it's noon and I'm ready for lunch and a nap. Then to clean this dirty house! So much more productive when I'm not hungover. . .I do find I am a little grouchy this morning though. . .it maybe the dirty house it gets my OCD all out of sorts!

Gosh, is it ever fantastic to read your posts guys!! I identify, I'm inspired, I'm relieved, and I find myself cheering you on every great day, and sending warm thoughts when you're having a bad one...:l

My sobriety is going well, and I'm thank-ful to all you guys! I'm terrified about going out to dinner or something - but most of the ones I have coming up to the end of the year are all alcohol free events anyway, so that should make it much much easier!

Hey guy's I made it through Saturday! First time I've made it through Saturday since I started trying! Tomorrow will be day 8! I'm excited to continue! Went to watch christmas lights tonight, and guess what. . . .they are just as good sober! Well good night all, hope everyone is well. Thank you for your nice words Korlan! Happy AF sunday! I have so much to do today. Decorate my sisters tree, clean, go watch santa skate at the mall! Fun christmas stuff! Wish I was a little more in the spirit but it will come I hope! Just gotta get past the money stuff and then christmas is better for grown ups! Have a great day all!

Hi Guys! Quick post on my way to work this morning. Starting day 17 and I feel SO GOOD!!! It's better than I thought it would be at this point.

Sounds like you all had a fantastic AF weekend! It's FREEZING here!!! Probably all you others in the Eastern US are feeling it too!! I think our heater is about to give out -- it's not supposed to be this cold in Florida!
