I like the L-glut but i think its making me light headed but I will say the craving and even most of the thoughts are gone. I'm going to try it tomorrow and hope the lightheadedness goes away! It's been nice to have the thoughts and cravings gone though.

I'm starting my rest of the year sober challange today!
Good morning guys. I will be out of town for the next few days at my in-laws where they don't have internet access, so I won't be posting for a couple of days. They're not big drinkers luckily, so I don't see too many challenges over Christmas!
Have a wonderful Christmas all, and I'll be back and posting in a few days!!

Sharky, the cravings and the thoughts are still gone, the sugar cravings are gone also. The fuzzy headed feeling last about 12 hours if you don't take one for that long. I took one at 6 yesterday and one at 10 and the fuzzy feeling went away at 10 this morning. I think it's pretty cool though, I wish you or/and ML would try is to see if you get the same effects as I did.You always succeed if you never stop trying.

it is an amino acid that body builders use to help their muscles recover faster and better with less sourness after working out. . .if you search the threads about it on here there is alot of info. I got it at GNC for $6. And I think I can only take 1000 a day for now so be careful and just take one 500mg till you see how it affects you.You always succeed if you never stop trying.

Thanks Jenn- I'm always very leary and cautious with taking anything - except alcohol!
Since it is natural I'm more inclined to try it - I do work out alot so it may actually help in more ways than one!
Appreciate your advice and insight on this.

I went to a friends house tonight to take them the Christmas presents I bought for their kids and the AL was flowing and everyone was drinking. I was thinking on the way over I'll just have one or two and go home, then about 1/2 way there I told myself no, popped open and l glut capsule dumped 1/2 under my tongue and in 5 min the thoughts and the craving was gone! I sat and watched them drink and I played with the baby and ate dinner and played poker with the big kids then followed my husband home to make sure he got home ok then took my sis home and here I am. . . .AF and so proud! Go me!!! I think I found something that can help me do this! Awesome, it feels so freeing. You always succeed if you never stop trying.

Hi Jenn-
Sounds like you are great. I screwed up royally on Christmas Day. Thought I could handle it and made an ass of myself at dinner with my in-laws. My wife is barely speaking to me. Really did it this time... Time for me to focus on this and not just pretend

I'm starting my rest of the year sober challange today!
Hi Guys. I'm back. I wish I could say I did great, but I didn't. However, I didn't do AWFUL, I didn't get out of control or drink loads, but I did break down and drink a few glasses of wine on Christmas day and the day after while at my in-laws. I am upset with myself more than anything, but maybe it was unrealistic to do a sober Christmas with so little time under my belt.
So, I'm back to square one, and I really want to build up some time this time. Jenn, I am stopping ON MY WAY HOME today to get the L-Glut. I actually looked the day before I left and didn't find it at the store I was in. I know of a healthfood store that should be open today, so I will stop and get it. I've heard good things from others who tried it too.

Alright MyLife - You and I on Day 1. I am also very upset with myself and I was not good. Ruined Christmas. Time to start over - for some reason I feel more commited this time - I hope. Let's see if we can do this!
