Good morning all, hope everyone is well! All this snow talk is making me want some snow! But here in Texas it doesn't snow. . . or so we say, if I remember correctly it has snowed the last 3 years at least so maybe well see so this year also! I'm doing great Thursday is my fav day of the week and I don't have to work on Saturday so just today and tomorrow and I'm free for two days yeah me! Have a great AF day everyone!

Good morning everyone! I'm about to head off to the airport for a work trip but checking in first to say hello! Welcome Korlan!

I'm about to embark on day 13. That's huge for me, the longest stint I've had in over a year, so I'm so happy! Funny about the drinking dreams, I dreamt on night one or two that people were trying to force me to drink and I woke up holding my hand over my mouth. Very weird what AL does to us!!

Now I sleep blisfully every night (most nights anyway) and wake up before the alarm goes off. It's so great! Why did I ever want to drink? It's really just insane when I think about it!

Have a great day everyone, and enjoy those Holiday parties AF! Much more fun that way!

Thanks so much for all the encouragement and kind welcomes - you are all fantastic :blush: Just got back from a long walk to my couselling session and back - it's glorious today - blue skies, and only about -5 degrees. Going to try for a nap as long as my dog stops trying to attack squirrels through the sliding door. Good thing he's good looking! (he does talk back though!)

Hi all,

Quick post again (sorry will get more time over the weekend I hope) just to check in and must say everyone sounds good.

I've friends staying for a couple of days from Spain, they are over for a wedding but will be off to stay with other friends on Saturday morning. I'll catch up with you all then.

I'm feeling good and strong so far, meeting some girlfriends for Chrsitmas tea on the 23rd after work and was toying with the idea of just cancelling but I feel I don't want to cancel everything over the festivities or I'll start to feel hard done by. On the 23rd I can honestly say I am driving as they all will be, so am going to go.

Weather is a bit better today and much milder although we are forecast to have a mild few days over the weekend and then the cold is coming back with a vengance next week.

Keep strong friends, I went to a yoga class straight after work tonight on way home and feel so relaxed and peaceful I am going to make it a regular thing.

Good evening all! Long day here. Dew, I've been thinking about finding a Yoga class to do in the evenings. It sounds so restful and I feel like it would put me in a good space during that time I used to be in such a bad space every evening...you know?

Good morning
All! Very early here in cold Dublin - sleep fairy gone walkabout! Didn't get back here last night, getting fussy about christmas, haven't started shopping yet and haven't even bought the christmas tree. Mr (half happy) half Grumpy is prevaricating on everything including my chrissie present from him which is a self contained chicken house which I must have up and running cos we are going away 26/12 and I don't trust my sons to check the chooks every day, so now that has become my problem as well!
Going to my counsellor today, I will talk with her about how down I have gotten lately, but I reckon it'll be the Doc more likely will be needed.
We are having our work party next Friday night - it's doubling as a retirement do for a colleague. The endless conversations now are about how everyone is going to get home, who has to work the next day, how much it's going to cost (beer money!) and d'ya know it feels really really good not to have any of those problems, I absolutely 100% appreciate that, and feel NO deprivation over not being 'able' to drink just absolute gratitude - GREAT!!
Right, best go back to bed or hubs will think I'm a lunatic down here in the cold. Will check in later

Hey guys, dropping a line to say hi and well done everyone... almost halfway through our sober ride. I'm feeling highly anxious tonight. Like Molly my sleep fairy has gone walkabout and I'm sleep only 5 hours a night, even with taking calm forte! Today my husband has had his Christmas work luncheon. It's now 7.30pm and he still hasn't called me. I've left two texts and one voice message. I feel really emotionally raw. So I need my sleigh buddies to be my support. xo

Oh Sarah you poor thing, Hopefully by now he's checked in - only consolation may be that he's prob on the lash and the last thing he wants to check is his phone cos he prob knows he's in trouble?? Morning Guys! Evidently the sleep fairy has gone to Asia or Africa, since it's not here in North America either. Kind of nice being up when our world is fair asleep. Sarah, you're in my thoughts - he'll probably come skulking in trying to avoid the guilt - don't we all? I'm sure he's there soon! We're getting above zero today, and snowy, so walking is going to be gorgeous!
