I feel so great sleeping through the night and having peaceful evenings that I remember!! I want my Christmas to be the same way. I hate that AL Haze at Christmas, too and I hate the next day feeling depressed and sick. I am so happy I will be sober and cheerful all weekend this year.

Happy Christmas Eve-Eve all! Just hopping on for a quick ride - so much to do! Bought lots of seltzer and bloody mary mix (NO AL!!) and am ready for the holidays. Hope you and your loved ones have a wonderful holiday if I can't post before Christmas. Thank you for all being so wonderful. Could not do it without you. You are my angels and I love you all tons!

Hello everyone - really sorry haven't been around for a few days, I just seem to be moaning a lot lately and didn't want to be a pain in the arse - Just spent nearly 3 hours trying to get home from work on icy roads and feeling very fraught but thankfully no work now till Tuesday week so this miserable cow is going to be laughinggirl in no time! Hope you're all doing well and christmas preparations are going well. I couldn't even get to the butchers this evening to collect turkey and ham so hubs can do all the icy driving tomorrow!

Hi Sleighers,

Hope everyone is good. Molly I got stuck in traffic today for hours and was pulling my hair out, there was a very bad accident on the motorway with fatalities and I had to make a 30 mile detour off the main roads onto side roads which were really dangerous in places. I'm just thankful I made the journey safely and my heart goes out to the families of those involved in the accident.

I met up with 3 old uni pals for tea after work and it was lovely catching up with them, we were all driving so no wine mentioned and everyone ordered water or soft drinks, don't know why I was concerned at all now as drinking wasn't even an issue. I've decided to take tomorrow off work due to the weather so I'm now on holiday and it feels great.

I'm off to visit family tomorrow for Christmas so probably wont be online until Monday and want to wish everyone a very, very Merry Christmas. I hope Santa is good to everyone and that you all have a stress free and sober holiday. I'll be 4 months AF on the 25th so my Christmas present to myself is a sober day.

Hey Korlan, good to see you still here - where's everyone? all having a lovely sober christmas eve I hope? I've had a lovely day but janeymac you notice so much more when you're sober - the family 'politics' that seem to go over my head before. Got a bit upset at a few harmless thoughtless remarks, but I think I may be behaving like a bit of a prima donna, sort of 'I'm not drinking so you all have to be nice to me' attitude, pulled myself up on it anyhow and all is cool. I'm missing my daughter like crazy tho, just surrounded by men - love them all to bits but jeeeeezzz! Talk later
