I love both of those Chill and ML! I don't know where everyone is today.. . .since December is almost over maybe people forgot about the sleigh! I hope not! Shout out to all the sleigh riders out there, even if you got off the sleigh for an minute or two this month lets bring in home and ring in the the New Year strong and sober! Hey maybe we should start a new years eve thread for those that will be hangin out here on New Years Eve. . .thoughts?

I haven't time to read all the posts but will do as soon as I can, looks like people are a bit busy at the moment I know that I am.

I'm babysitting New Year's Eve so may well be able to log on if I am not fast asleep. Take care and I too like the Jumpin' Through January title, what about the rest of you??

Hey my fellow abbers! How is everyone on this eve of and eve? I am shaky today as it is day 10. . .my witching day. . .I would love to, just once this month, spend 2 weekends in a row sober. . .I been on a good run so I think I can do it. I have been reading as much about peoples negative experiences with drinking on here to try and detour myself from drinking thoughts. Good day and good luck to all today. We can stand strong together!

day 10, double figures, now let's get you through the weekend.

I'll tell you a little story about New Years Day 2010. The previous night had been my first sober NYE in, well as far back as I can remember. It had snowed heavily the previous two weeks and overnight a fresh covering had fallen. Mr JC came down to the kitchen 9am in the morning to find me running round the garden in all the fresh new snow in my wellies and jammies with Black Bess. He thought I'd finally lost the plot and I just thought if this is the joy of being sober well I want some more of this.

I won't have any snow to jump around in on New Years day but some of my friends are threatening going into the sea, it's the bloody Atlantic and freezing but maybe, just maybe I will

Chill- I well remember the first time I ran into the sea when I was in Portugal. Nobody told me it was the blooming Atlantic. It was the end of October beautiful on the beach but fecking freezing in the water. Don't think I've run so fast in me life.

Good morning guys! Last day for this thread! Wouldn't it be great if everyone checked in with there numbers for December? It is a challenge so I'll start! I have 25 sober days in December including today so 25/31! That is the best I have done all year! Yeah me! I'm proud of my accomplishment and growth and am looking forward to expanding on that next month and year! Have a great day all!
