Officially announcement here. Quitting drinking now. Cannot give TSM anymore time- need an outcome now. And, I want zero alcohol, not the moderate alcohol provided by TSM. Plan to read some REBT today, but from now, I am done.

Great News EOTL. I came to the same decision as you and I'm now looking at day 11 AF. If I slip -- it's on to Antabuse. TSM didn't work for me either. Congratulations on your decision! You won't regret it.

Hi Choochie, you probalby heard it under the meds link. It's the Sinclair Method -- using Naltrexone. The idea is that Nal blocks the Opioid receptors that give the pleasure response with AL, so as you drink (moderately) using Naltrexone you gradually lose your craving for AL and become AL free. It can take from 3- 6 months. I have to admit I couldn't give it the full time -- I think I tried for 1 1/2 months or so and didn't feel like I was making any headway and just decided to stop.

I also had a nagging voice in the back of my head saying "If it sounds too good to be true..."
Anyway, I'm just glad to be sober.
