Ready and set for an AF Sunday. I don't remember the last time I have had an AF weekend, might have been when I was preganant with my youngest who is 21, so this is a real milestone. Yeah to all of us.

Thanks folks for the words of support. Chilliwilly - I reckon I'll always love my old man as well but sometimes it's just not enough. Don't be sad girl, maybe your move back will make things seem a little easier? I dunno anyways major big hugs back:l. Madmans, that's exactly the problem - noone can control another person - in the end it'll rupture, I'm glad your wife is supportive, I read earlier on that you asked her to read over some of the threads - Mrs MM, if you're reading this, keep doing whatever you're doing - it's working! Life isn't black and white - there's a shit load of grey in there that we have to muddle along through and just be glad of the good times. Thanks Mylife also, and yes this is right for me now. Who knows about anything tomorrow - we could be knocked over by a bus ooooooooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh did someone mention a bus!! And Jude, bloody well done on the sober weekend - first one really is the hardest! To be honest now the only difference a weekend means to me now is that I'm not at work, it used to be weekend = drink. Thanks for your support also.

You know, honestly, lots of people end up platonic or "flatmates" as you describe. You guys are going to think I'm crazy, but I think when we get older that's the best. Just someone you care about without all the other b.s. that goes along with romantic love. It's quite freeing, actually.

I won my race today and was dead chuffed with myself. I won ?30 and Mr Anon took it straight off me when I came home as He needed it to pay my daughter back for the present she bought for him to give me on my birthday.

Not too upset as it is power for the course in this household!

I don't have much to say for myself today, for obvious reasons :upset: I would, however, like to say a BIG THANK YOU to everyone for your support and suggestions. I need to re-think (or perhaps just start thinking!) about what I'm doing, where I'm going etc. Hopefully I'll have something a bit more coherent to report soon, but for now I need to tend to the wounds.

:hallo:Evening everyone. Well its almost the end of my first af week for January and its not been too bad so far. Got a bad headache earlier but two solfedene and a walk in the fresh air got rid of it. Its was cold but sunny. Been a quiet weekend just catching up on cleaning and watching tv reading etc. Molly and Chill so sorry to hear of your situatuions i hope things work out for the best i just wish you health and happiness well done on not turning to al i'm not sure how i would have coped but drink makes things worse as we all know. Quick dip in before my lovely sober bed beckons! Anon, kick the f&*ker in the nuts and get that money back - well done you, you clever clever girl you. I am so in awe of you with that running. I have to 'fess up to smoking ciggies this week, been off them for 25 yrs, so I reckon that's the end of my running.
KG, re the platonic thing, I remember years ago going out on a 'girls' night out with the neighbours and on our way home (someone was a designated driver, needless to say it wasn't me) one of the really old ladies (she was probably 'bout 50 at the time) made the driver turn off her lights and cruise up the road home in case her hubs would hear the car and want his 'evil way' when she got in:H - I was horrified that old people would even think about stuff like that!!' Thanks for your good wishes Firefox,, Witchy and well done on your sober first week of 2011 - great start. Thanks for your thoughts as well Choice, I know you have been through the wars recently as well.
