Good Morning Jumpin' Beans! It's a lovely, bright Sunday here...did get a bit of snow last night but not much. Still very cold. Thank you, Mollyka, for the anniversary wishes! We had a wonderful dinner last night and I remained sans AL all evening! Got 10 hours of sleep last night and feel like a million bucks!
Oh, and today is day 9 AF! Yay!
A big hello to everyone and best wishes for a fabulous Sunday! Be sure to give yourself a big pat on the back for staying strong on your life's journey, without AL.Whatever you invest in the circle of LIFE is what comes back to you. Multiplied. Good for you Blondie, I actually remember my 1st anniversary and we had a major row - long before I would have been considered in any way a problem drinker - nearly 33 yrs ago, but I do know that we were in a pub and we were both drinking - definitely a sign of things to come I reckon! Day 9 - excellent, 10 hours sleep mindblowing:H

Happy Sunday jumpers! Also happy one year anniversary Blonde sounds like you had a lovely evening. Hi Starty I always enjoy your posts, I agree this is an inspirational thread that I've been on since September. I don't know what I would have done without all of the wonderful support here. Molly I think it's so nice of you to help your daughter with a deposit. I can see why you don't want to tell her what's going on at home, but remember she is an adult herself and probably can handle more then you might think? If your in a jam right now I'm sure she wouldn't want to cause you stress regarding money. I don't know, it sounds like you've pretty much got it sorted out. I'm sorry your going through this at the moment. :l Well, Hiya to everyone else I hope everyone has a lovely Sunday or Monday wherever you are in the world. :h

Evening Jumpers,
How was the weekend for all, was good for me had a pretty quiet time but managed to get loads done, feel quite relaxed and rested for another working week.
I'm going to be offline next week so won't be able to catch up with all of you until next weekend, was saying on another thread that it feels a bit like having my water wings taken away from me and launching out on my own. Silly really but I haven't been away from MWO, apart from a few days, since I started this journey. I'm feeling cool about remaining AF but it will be strange not connecting with all of you.
Off to check the threads.
Dewdrop :hEnjoy today - there will be no other one quite like it....

Hiya again guys! I'm in bed with cramps And, I just found out my best friends mom died. She had cancer and has been really struggling for 4 years especially in the past week. I met my best friend when I was 9 so I've known her mom all my life. I'm not sure how I feel. I feel bad that I am relieved. She was suffering so badly. I'm glad I don't drink because this would be a time when I would reach for the bottle. I feel kinda disoriented sober to tell you the truth. I wish I could just go workout as that's how I've been learning to cope... but can't cuz of the cramps. So, whew I don't really know where I am.
Dewdrop I think I've only been away from MWO for a few days at a time if that... I hear you about the water wings.. Your a strong swimmer. I hope you have a great week.

Hello Sober Sunday Crew!
Choice, I am terribly sorry to hear about your loss. Good for you for staying strong after hearing such sad news and not reaching for the bottle. I hear where you are coming from in being disoriented sober after getting this sort of tragedy. I'm sure I would feel the same way. Sorry about the cramps...as the saying goes, "this too shall pass".
Mollyka, I'm sure if I didn't stop drinking 9 days ago, I would have made my wedding anniversary quite the heavy AL consumption night. And I would have woken up this morning feeling like crap-ola. So glad that wasn't the case. I hope hubby isn't thinking I am boring now without some booze in me for nights like those but I would rather have the sober me anyday. Oh, and the 10 hours of sleep isn't the norm for me...I woke up at 8AM and couldn't believe I slept through the night so soundly.
Hi to WitchyWoman and Dewdrop and Cassia,
Dewdrop, from reading your posts, I'm sure you'll fly beautifully through the week AF and I hope you have a very happy one! We'll look forward to hearing from you when you get back. PS, I am of Scottish ancestry (my grandparents grew up in Glascow area and moved to the States in the 1930's). I have not been over yet but I am hoping to take a holiday there someday soon. I have been to England a few times but never to Scotland or Ireland. My mom was there last year and her photographs of Scotland were breathtaking!
Have a lovely Sunday night everyone!Whatever you invest in the circle of LIFE is what comes back to you. Multiplied. What you give to people is what they eventually give back to you. Don't do the math. Just increase your LOVE.

Thanks Blonde, I've been saying this to shall pass all day and it's working. I got through the disoriented feeling and I know if I'd started drinking... I would be really hurting right now. I would have overdone it and be dwelling on the sadness of it all. Thinking I was grieving but really just escaping and numbing all of this. In reality, coping sober is much easier. I just feel pretty calm tonight and feel like things are going to be okay.

Choice, Im so sorry, for you & your friend, but i am proud of you for not drinking, at least you will be able to take comfort in knowing your friends mom, is at peace & not suffering anymore.
Hi to Molly, Oney,Choice, Dewdrop, Rebirth, Anon, Firefox, Cassia, Kimberley, Jenni, Mylife, Chilli, DoggyG, Jackie, Sunni, BlondeAF & all the rest, we certainly have a great group, lots of good energy.
OK this may sound a litttle weird, but I am pretty much not having any cravings, I hardley even think about AL at all. when I first stopped drinking back in 2009 & did 60+ days AF, I had major cravings, this time around before I stopped I was drinking twice as much, but no withdrawal apart from not sleeping, & no real cravings. , it almost seems to easy, then I'm like, "what, do you want it to be hard?" the other day when I was waiting for my tea to cook, i was randomly hunting thru the fridge, & my mother had about 3 bottle's of wine & it was like i didnt even see it as AL, it was just there in the fridge, like lettuce is just there in the fridge. I'm not complaining, just worrid that I'm going to get complacent, has anyone else ever experienced anything like that?
thought for today: "I am stronger than any craving & will always be able to resist it"
hope every one is enjoying their day/night & staying strong.
