    Dual Diagnosis

    Hello,

I've been on this site lurking for many years and you all have helped tremendously by reading the posts. I had sobriety for 2 years and relapsed in May 2010. Since that time, have been able to go up to a month without drinking, but still binge drink on many occasions. Struggling, but have a support system in place.

My question is; is there anyone that suffers from an eatinig disorder too? I have a problem with both. I'm trying to find a rehab place that can concur both issues. My therapist suggests the place that Tiger Woods went to in Missouri. Any input would be appreciated.

          RC,

Do you work? Is it possible to find a place through your HR?

I never would have considered that until I found that when I had a problem, the people at my work were among the first to support me in going to rehab. Obviously not everyone knew. But my boss, HR, and my two or three best friends there did. And it was at that point that I began -- BEGAN -- to have a turn around.

If no work, do you see a doctor? Would it be possible to ask your DR about something like this?

Sending out good vibes to you. Stay on the good path, you are doing a great job, and coming here is another great tool in fighting the battle!

          Peace.

Sona, you are so fortunate that your employer gave you the opportunity and saw how much you meant to the company; aleit what it is. God bless!

I see my GP on the 24th of January. She's been my doctor for over 10 years and she kicks butt. Me scared. LOL
