Count me in, the weekend is always a mental ping pong match. Easy does it, one weekend at a time.

The 48 hour thread
This is a gud idea as weekends can be tricky for me. I didn't yesterday and i'm not drinking this evening and tomorrow is another day so hopfully another af weekend for me. Just a quiet day here its been raining so i've stayed in mostly reading and watching tv.

Did you drink with the hangover Spuds -NO, so therefore of course it counts!! Re. the sleep UK, I'm NO expert (on anything really) but I've had sleep problems all my life, not necessarily drink related. I had been taking sleeping pills on and off up to christmas but in a tantrum I threw out every tablet in the house and 'cold turkied' it. I had some really shite nights sleep, but eventually I found exhaustion has caught up with me and I slept 7 hours last night straight through. My doc says the worst thing you can do about sleep is worry about it - worst thing that can happen is we are tired the next day. How you feeling now?Contentedly sober since 27/12/2011
contentedly NF since 8/04/14

Hey that's great. I know the sleep thing is merely a result of staying up drinking until late, and lying in feeling sorry for myself. Add to that withdrawl from the AL and I know it'll pass so long as I stay AF.
I'm sure I'll sleep tonight. I'm now on my 3rd day without alcohol but only 14 hours since the thread started!
