    Poem for the day

I'm reading a book called "Excuses Begone!" by Wayne Dyer. Starts off a bit airy fairy, but he's talking some good sense about not letting your past (whether addiction, shyness, behaviour, character, finances etc) dictate the way your future pans out. He quoted the last lines of a poem called Prairie, by Carl Sandburg, which I thought you might like for its sense of hope.

I tell you the past is a bucket of ashes
I tell you yesterday is a wind gone down
a sun dropped in the west
I tell you there is nothing in the world
    only an ocean of tomorrows
    a sky of tomorrows

    Thanks,

I've read several books by Wayne Dyer. My favorite quote about the past is "don't let the wake row the boat".
2023 - focus, getting it done, and living the way it should be and being the person I need to be.
