    Hi Hillside,

    I see from your status it is coming up to 1 year AF.
    Congratulations.
    You and many others are my inspiration to staying sober, as I have accomplished my first goal of 30 days today, and plan to keep going

    How does it feel to be almost 1 yr AF.

      Hi Damo, and thanks for your kind words. It really makes me feel good that I was able to help, in however small a way. Great job on your 30 days, you should really be proud of yourself.

      It feels really weird to think that I have almost went a year of my life without booze. I had been binge drinking on weekends since I was about 16, and drinking heavily for many years recently. I really prefer life being sober - no hesitation about it. I am no longer drinking. It has not been easy, especially the first few months, but the new habits and new lifestyle start to feel "normal" after a while. Hang in there, you can do it.
