I have no parents or grandparents to blame either, but there you go.
28 days is a short month and will be a milestone for some and just a beginning for others.
Keeping busy is a good tool. I sometimes forget this, but suddenly I have so much to do to prepare for going away next week, both at work and home, that I honestly haven't given a thought to alcohol yet. It's been great to be able to stay up until 11pm working on something, or watching a movie with the kids too.
As I mentioned elsewhere I'm doing Feb fast where you get sponsors and abstain for a month. It's all very respectable - a lot of moderate drinking celebs are doing it and some confess to dreading the weekend AF. Although the sign up page says you shouldn't use it to try to withdraw, I'm finding it helpful. I had enough success from last month to know I can do it. Also, if I have sponsors and then give up, I would feel like a kid who runs off with the Red Cross collection. :H
