Wondering what to do now?
Ok so I failed the challenge once again, I am seriously wondering if I am able to do this by myself, I need to decide what to do, do I go to the docs and ask for meds or do I go to AA or try L Glutamine? I am not really asking for someone else to decide for me, just airing my choices... Why oh why have I got this problem I hate it so muchTaking it ODATTags: None

Wondering what to do now?
Mauri my friend - my heart goes out to you because I've been there. Here's my two cents worth - if you haven't already tried the L-glutamine, I'd definitely give it a go. If you feel comfortable talking to your doctor then I would definitely do that as well! Just the fact that you are still here posting says something in itself. No one judges here - just pick yourself up and start again! Think of all the AF days you have achieved - don't think of them as being a failure because they are a huge achievement! Only you can decide what's best for you but I for one am glad that you are still here posting and know that we are all here to help you any way we can.
Hang in there - I'm so proud of all you've achieved so far - you aren't done with this battle yet!Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

Aww Mauri, hun.:l
No-one here got it right the first, second, third time so time to try a different approach. Have you made a plan to get through each day. Minute by minute, hour by hour if necessary. Don't over complicate it keep it doable.
Jolie has given you excellent advice there. Give it a go it won't do any harm.

Wondering what to do now?
Thanks ladies, I am so determined I am not going to carry on this way any more, I need to accept that it is going to be hard and just do it!!! My plan for today is to keep busy with ebaying (decluttering my house), crochet and getting ready for my course interview (new Mehndi course) tomorrow, I have decided not to go to the docs, our practice is so busy atm that you only ever get to see the nurse practitioner and I don't feel comfortable talking to her about it really, going to up my dose of kudzu to 3 a day instead of the one I have been taking and going to go and order some L Glutamine in a mo...Taking it ODAT

Wondering what to do now?
Hi again Mauri,
Just pop up to your local health store and you can buy it there.
Just found this quote from beatle:

My advice: Take the powder, dissolved in water (tastes fine, just a little sweet), 5gr at a time, on an empty stomach, up to 20gr a day.It could be worse, I could be filing.

Wondering what to do now?
Aw Mauri, I know how you feel. Don't berate yourself too much. You have to pick yourself up and dust yourself off and begin again. We can begin again together if you like as I have been drinking this weekend. I am going to religiously take my L-Glut this week and you may want to get out there and get some. Don't you find that in the morning your resolve is strong but as evening approaches you hear these voices in your head that tells you that you deserve a little glass of whatever... wine for me. I wish I could harness that morning energy and commitment and carry it through the evening. I have some wonderful teas in my pantry that are not only delicious, but healthy. Why I don't drink them in the evenings is beyond me. Let's get strong together. Many people here were in the same boat as us only a few weeks/months ago. If they can do it, we can too. Starting today, no drinking. OK?Tipplerette
I do this for my children, my grandchildren, my health, my peace of mind, and mostly for the opportunity to learn to live with my true, unfiltered, clear-headed, vulnerable self.

Wondering what to do now?
Hi Mauri,
I'm sorry you are struggling so.
Arm yourself with all the tools you need to fight this demon if you truely want to succeed!
If that means going to the doc, going to AA, increasing supplements, making a good strong plan & a firm commitment to yourself - then do it!!
Distraction was what helped me get thru those early days. Learning to redirect your thinking is priceless!
You can do it

Wondering what to do now?
Hi Mauri,
I've been struggling recently as well.
This staring over - again and again is really discouraging for me.. I have L-glutamine but forget to take it. I recommit every morning and fail in the evenings. I think I'll go to the chat room more. Face to face meetings are not an option for me for various reasons. I want to be AF long enough to put it in my signature line like all the others who are here. As it is right now I'd have to change the date every day:upset:
Why I'm not choosing health is beyond me. I'm too old for this type of thing.
Hang in there:h
