    Some words of encouragement

Mstall: As I've gone along in sobriety, I've found no reason for self-pity. I still socialize w/normal drinkers & don't miss AL at all. I'm the same at the end of the evening as I was when it began. It's nice to be able to sound intelligent right up until the end. When I see normal people drink their one/two drinks (my husb included), I realize that I can never, ever do that. Once a drop of AL touches my lips, I'm off & running. The obsession clicks in, & I can't think of anything other than getting my next refill. That's not fun! M

Thanks so much for the inspiration Mary. I am just now working on that denial and it's great to hear from someone who has successfully confronted theirs and won. Your story is very inspirng and it's wonderful to hear about your success.
