    Where did you hide it?

    Fortunately, my problem never progressed to the point that I had to hide it or have AL in the car with me at all times. I am so grateful for that. :-)

      Where did you hide it?

      You all are so creative...I didn't think anyone was as creative as me (kidding)...

      I gave up beer because it was too hard to hide. So I switched to pints of Vodka. Would pour them into water bottles and keep them in my big purse.

      If for some reason I did not have a water bottle I would hide in my big make-up bag under bags of femine products (tampons/pads). This worked pretty well. My hubby would never look there.

      It's funny but sad at the same time.

        I never, never hid it.
        I just didn't give a flying crap because I was depressed.
        Actually I had hoped for someone important to me to notice how depressed I was & how much I was drinking but that never happened.

        Good thing I didn't wait to quit

          Where did you hide it?

          I live alone so there was no reason to hide it BUT my recycling bin was on the entry stoop so anyone coming to visit (dogwalker, family, friends etc) could easily count how many bottles were in there if they bothered to look and figure it out (recycling picked up once a week). So, i switched to boxed wine. Box went in the trash or recycling bag which no one could see and no one could see how much was left in the fridge. Brilliant right?

          Soooooooooo glad those days are gone forever!!

                In a diaper bag
                In the dryer (and yes I started it once and forgot!)
                In my underwear (and yes while wearing them; to get from the car to the bedroom!)
                In my coat
                In the pantry
                In the garage

                Zeppie is right. My list will take me all day; it would be shorter if we put where we "didn't" hide it. Sad but true, thank goodness I can call that "the past" now.

                      My handbag is just big and squishy enough to take a wine bottle lying down, so I would often go to the supermarket returning with a couple of grocery bags and put the wine in my handbag then transfer it to the cupboard, as if it had always been there and I hadn't made a special trip to the supermarket.
                      I occasionally hid full bottles or half bottles in my briefcase and changed the place sometimes using under the bed or in the wardrobe - forgot one there for about 3 months once. What a find while tidying!
                      If I thought there were too many empties I'd take them in my carboot and dump them in someone else's recycle bin, or to a park and empty them in their rubbish bins.
                      Those were the days. Not.

                        Where did you hide it?

                        All of the above and more! Getting rid of the empties was even trickier, have been known to fling them into ditches out my car window OMG I am actually blushing typing that (wasn't drinking them in the car I hasten to add, just disposing of!). We had a leak in my eldests bedroom last week and when emptying cupboards found an empty, crap - I felt humiliated and no one else saw it, I can't believe I lived like that now!

                          Dancing On - I use to buy purses and I ONLY bought purses that would fit a wine bottle, I would do the same thing!
                          Papmom - I remember when the trash man would come and all you could hear was/were bottles, bottles, bottles.
                          Mollyka - I remember that too in my beer drinking days!
                          and Softy - I usually had my night gown on sneaking out to the car to get more.
                          And I still find empties in places I never dreamed of

                          This was fun everyone, thank goodness we are in a far better place now.
