    May Flowers

May Flowers! Tried to think of a good name for the May challenge ? I signed on a little late for the Aiming high in April, and didn?t quite make it, but have chosen to see 22 days AF out of 30 as a success. I have just completed day 1, and boy what a struggle, but somehow the start of a month feels like starting afresh. The April group was a big support and I checked in daily ? even when drinking ? so I am hoping May Flowers will be just as supportive.
Cheers to everyone who made April AF, join us if you are continuing through May ? and welcome to each and every one of us who is aiming for an AF May. We can have success, whatever that may look like to each of us!

    Hello Scottish!

22 AF out of 30 is a success. Since I started here I did 20 Days AF and then 27 and finally 30 in April. And I'm using my past relapses as a lesson that I want to stay AF for a very long time this time.

    Here's to enjoying May Flowers!

              Happy May Kids.
ScottishLass thanks for getting us started, I totally enjoyed AF April & am looking forward to continuing that in May as well, I too find I do better if I start the month AF from the 1st day of the month, it helps me connect to doing a "month" AF.
Hi also to Mylife, Mario (hope you are feeling better than you have been lately - I lurk on some of the other threads you post on), Leaves, good to see you guys.

                  Evening flowers:l

Another day down, some days my memory is so bad I can barely remember my name, today was one of them.

Had another invite out for next week so I'll stock up on juice to take with me whilst I'm feeling strong, but I go on hols the following day and will be driving that night so won't have the temptation, I think I'll offer to drive my friend, that way I can't change my mind at the last moment.

Anyway another day marked off the calender and another day added to our totals.

Hey Flowers - glad to have a group going - Aiming high in April really helped me, even though I did not succeed, I achieved more than i thought that i would. Today is the 3rd and so far so good!
Hope all out there are doing well too - it is 3:43pm Cali time, so witching hour is approaching - chugging my lemon juice and water!
                    Have a great evening...

                      Back at the bottom

Hi I'm in for the rest of May. Managed 24 days in April then it all turned to custard. The last week has been a disaster, and I feel terrible. I was feeling great last month then those thought came creeping back in, God this is such a struggle, I'm sick and tired of it all. Gonna start trying again today. Hope everyone's doing o.k.

Hey Noodle - you beat me - i got to 22 in April! so enjoy your success - I am on day 3 so far, and feel so great - as others helped me, and I agree - we maybe need to falls as a more permanent reminder of what is good.
work out how bad you feel and write it down, then visit that note when you feel like giving up again - we can do it! :l

                            May Flowers

:happy:Yay, I was born a May Flower so this is a perfect group. Especially since I am on day 5.
May is a great month since it is my b-day. They even put on a grand parade for me every year in my home town (okay, maybe for the apple blossom festival as well), lol

To all my new friends: Scottish Lass, My Life, Mario, Leaveinsilence, 4myhealth, sunshine today, witchywoman, vintage girl, noodle and jobe1023. So glad to add my name to this group.

It helps me to "not drink" when I consider the extra calories that are in alcohol. 6 months ago I was at a perfect weight. i felt so good but since then I have put on 8 pounds. That makes me mad since it is bad habits that has caused the weight gain. I do pretty well for a few days and then I drink an entire bottle of wine. Bad for my figure, my health and everything else as well.

I will check in with you tomorrow. Let's work hard........

ok, its a little naff, but I felt like being poetic & inspirational at the same time so work with me here.
A big :welcome: to Mimi & Jobe, good to have you on board. good to see you again Noodle.
So I have been on Antabuse for just over a month now & it is so helpful, because ewven if I do get cravings (and I do big time), it takes all the presure away, since I absolutly cannot drink, ot unless I want a very quick trip to A&E. the only thing that worries me is stopping while I have my surgery, but if I time it right, by the time the effects wear off, I will be on my way to christchurch so, wont be able to drink anyway, & drinking is not an option after the surgery, AL is actually on the list of "you should never have this food/drink again"
Ok kidds just a quick check in, will catch ya later, off to lurk.
