Acronyms?

Is there a list of the various acronyms used on this site? I have been able to figure out a lot of them. But I keep seeing "modded" or something like that and a few others, and frankly have no idea what anyone is talking about. :thanks:

Just wanted to say my hellos and welcomes.

It's really hard getting the hang of all these phrases.

Those who choose to moderate their drinking are call modders and practice modding.

There's also AL (alcohol), AF (alcohol free), PM (personal message). If you see a little envelope flashing by your name at the top it means someone has sent you a pm. If you want to send a PM just click on the members name and it will give you the option of sending a PM.

Can't think of any of the others at the moment but just shout out again if you get stuck.

I have never had a problem quitting smoking, but for some reason I always pick it up again. I have been on the same pack since last saturday and I still have more than half of it. But now that I have decided to taper off the booze, which I hope to have done very soon, I feel the urge to smoke a lot more. I've had four today, compared to the one yesterday. I think I might be mistaking the urge to smoke for the urge to have a drink. Oh well, smoking might kill me years from now, but drinking was going to do it a lot sooner than that.

I agree on both points! I can barely understand text messaging, and I'm only 25.

That is weird with the order of letters. I could read that without a problem.
