I am going to order baclofen today for the first time. This is in the hope that it will cure me of my binge eating/anxiety/nail biting/binge drinking/hair pulling issues. I'm quite scared because although I've spoken to a psychiatrist over the 'phone about my intentions no doctor will be monitoring me. He suggested I begin10mg x 3 a day for a week and then go up to 20mg x3 the following week and so forth.

Does anyone have any thoughts?

Well I've done it!!! I'm sooooo excited as I so want to be free from all these "habits"! I am so sick of feeling crap about myself, fat and out of control! I should receive the pills in the next week! Watch this space!

Hi Freedom and :welcome: to MWO

I would suggest a slightly different titration schedule, with 10mg increases every three days, rather than fairly big jumps every week.

Other than that, I'll be curious to see what happens :H

I'm in contact with 2 fellow South Africans who are also binge drinkers. They remain fairly effortlessly AF during the week, but will then go all out over weekends. I might be mistaken, but we don't have all that many "examples" of binge drinkers on the baclofen threads. My drinking was daily, just even heavier over weekends.

What is your binge eating / drinking pattern, if any?

Many thanks for your comments! I shall repost in the section you mention above! So you think I should take 10mg x 3 per day for the first 3 days and then go up to 20mg x 3 per day for the next 3 days and then keep on upping every 3 days until I feel free?
