He was so understanding. I'd also had to have a blood test a short time ago, and he was very happy I have no liver damage. (So was I)
Got Campral. We talked about Topo and apart from it being SO expensive off prescription he wants to suss out side effects etc... (he has epilepsy patients on it.) (I need to lose weight)
He's going to check out this site to refer to other patients here as I was so enthusiastic about it.
He was surprised I wasn't going through withdrawal symptoms, but I said I felt better and more alert (but tired) at the moment than I have in a long time. He warned me I may well crash though.
So, I am a lucky person to have a very supportive doctor, and a very suportive MWO . I reckon with everyone's help and my resolve, I might just be able to pull myself out of my alcoholic quagmire and look at life through sober eyes.............and catch up on all the things I've been missing out on or have neglected the past 25 years.
My next hurdle will be motivating myself to do exercise. I've become very physically lazy, though many years ago I was very fit. Anyone any ideas how to get me off the lounge and walking the street (in a manner of speaking).
I'm thanking you all in advance!
