I am on D24 and I am a real B----!! Byrdlady says that day 13 - 30 is a roller coaster... and I agree!

After 3 weeks of eating and eating and litres of sweet fizzzy drinks I really need some exercise too!! Doing callanetics and it helps a lot!

i am with you, this is day 1 for me but i have been trying for 20 years to get sober I am sick and tired of being sick and tired, i am glad i have found this forum

It's a beautiful sunny morning here downunder, and err.....day 3.

This is the business end of the equation for me, the first few day's, then onto 30 days. This is where my attitude must be to take no prisoners. There is no room for lazy thinking, 'airy fairy' thinking, pussyfooting around, whinging, moaning, complaining, excuses, halfhearted decision or direction, no room for being conned by my own worst enemy....ME, and there is no room for mercy.

Having said that, i'm off to have a restorative run, and to enjoy my 3rd. day of freedom, again, today.

Hey MrG, it's that can'tbelieve ejdit here. Very happy to see you back here - you inspired me. Found myself falling down that rabbit hole again! Oh dear. Not as bad as before as lots of AF days, but kinda worse than before in a way as this lovely forum makes me accountable. Lurked for a while before deciding to jump back in. These lovely folk sure do help me, no doubt about it, guess I'll just have to accept it! Thanks all

Welcome back. Acceptance is a big part of recovery i reckon. Acceptance and honesty. Acceptance of self, and of our addiction/problem drinking/alcoholism, whatever we call it. We aren't bad as people, not that i think you're saying that. I like to drink, but i know where it always takes me. I am beginning to accept this now, after all these years.
