An older drunk back on day one. Who's with me?

    Juja;1283436 wrote: Hi all,

Yep, it's me, Juja. I sincerely apologize for abandoning you, but I needed a break from MWO without having to explain. I'll explain now: MWO became more of a burden than a joy.

With that being said, I'm not AF, but I'm in a better state than I was when I first started here. I'm having far more AF time than AL time. AL isn't worth it.

Someone said this is a cozy thread, and she's right, so maybe I'll be back.

Hang in there, everyone, and do your best. I'll do the same.

    Juja :lipstick:
    Hola Juja!

No explanations necessary. Great to see you.

Sobriety can take awhile to click. If you know you are moving forward, then that must send a positive message to yourself. Sounds like you know the game is up, moderating is a long gone option for you (and me ), and drinking is an absolute waste of your precious time left on this earth. Take care of yourself friend.

Wishing everyone a safe, sober, and magical week.

Hey Juja, and welcome back! and Irie and Libgirl (from another Libgirl) greetings
      What's with libraries and alcohol? I was a librarian for 30 years!:H

Maybe we've read and learned too much, think too much, feel too much, and are introverts who ruminate--and drink! Just a thought. :h

It will be difficult for me to look at my local female librarians the same way after meeting you three. :H :h

One of my students wrote this about me in a book: "I would like to f*** Miss (insert maiden name)." Quite a shocker. I guess I was hot then.:H No one looks twice at me anymore, unless they're over 75.:upset:

I've only started reading this thread, but I thought this was a very wise - even transformative - statement.

I am finding, as well, that if the focus is not simply on the grit and challenge of 'will power,' but I allow consideration of the many factors that surround my drinking, it becomes a true learning process. And, I hope,a process of change.

hello everyone, have been away for awhile but never not thinking of my MWO buddies. did the holiday to thailand and it was just wonderful. i was worried about al being away but it got my drinking in to perspective, i had to be responsible around the family which was not so hard really. i am no way drinking as much as what i was when i came on this site in nov 2011. not stopped but having af days and enjoying life, al has not taken it over anymore. I hope you are all well and happy xxxx
