    Weekend Party Thread 4-6th Nov

    Hi Everyone,
    This is a weekend party thread for all of you that struggle to get through the weekend without AL. You can come here to rant & rave and get lots of support and also have a great boogy at the same time.
    I thought this weeks theme could be a pool party.....I know for some of you it is Winter so I am going to make it an inside pool party with lots & lots of inflatables......:jumpwow:

    I am off now to start blowing up all the toys .........bugsy having the blow up arm chair as I will need a rest after all this preparation.....:bigwink:

    Party on Ronnie! I am so there with you! I love pool parties, especially the indoor ones where the pool is heated and there maybe a hot tub at one end to stay warm and toasty?

    Who else will join in? What a great idea to get us through the weekend. Rock on!

      I'm in Ronnie, can't wait to get the party started. This weekend may be a bit difficult though. Having some neighbors over Sunday. I know I will not cave but I just don't want to sit there feeling jealous and pouting because I can't have any. But I know I can, I just won't. I'll stay strong and keep my tools close by.

        Mighty you have nothing to feel jealous about, I would look at your neighbors with sympathy instead. They are the ones drinking mind altering substances in order to have a good time whereas we are all splashing around here having wonderful sober fun and feeling good :yay::yougo::day5::whee::thumbsup:jumpwow:

              I'll be there for sure, though i will supply the blockout just in case any rays hit us and the lemonade, home made of course. Lousy cook so someone else can bring the nibbles.

              This is my first AF weekend in oh i can't remember.

              I am supposed to be going to an 18th birthday this weekend but dont feel i am ready to venture around alcohol. I will have one very unimpressed family member but such is life, at the moment it is all about us working as a team.

              is it unusual to feel as if you are in a foggy haze on day 4. I just think i need sleep.

              keep well guys and im packing that one piece as we speak

                WOW what a good start to our Party......lets rock & float......

                available......I think you are doing the right thing not going to the party especially if you feel you are not ready and at the moment you have to concentrate on YOU so I would not bother yourself on what other people think honey........just stay at this party and have a splash around. The tiredness will pass, it is quite usually.

                boozer.......life guard eh..........make sure you dont just sit on your little perch high up, you have to get in the pool with us all.....I might just have to fake a funny turn....that way I can have you rescue me........lol

                mighty....I am with chillgirl....they are the one's that will wake up in the morning feeling sorry for themselves where as you will be having fun splashing around here.

                mya chillgirl mighty blonde and everyone else that joins....it is soo good to see you all here (if you know what I mean)........this will be my 4th weekend sober and it feels great. Just remember to keep busy and strong, we can all so this.

                Right who has my pink lilo.......I think I might have to start bomb diving you all in a minute, I just love doing that.....lets see who can stay on their toys the longest without falling off.....1....2....3... here I come....... :crazymonkey:

                    I'm in. But i need to do my laps. I keep bumping into toys and soft fleshy creatures. Boozer, where is the lap lane?!

                      For me, i just remember WHY i'm doing this. No, not swimming laps in a pool full of inflatables and gawking people, but why i have decided to stop drinking, and STOP the madness. I will never forget my reasons again. This weekend, every weekend, and every day, REMEMBER, and NEVER forget why you have stopped, and where booze took you.

                        thanks for the advice ronnie, i know your right and they will have to understand. I am not telling anyone in the fam i am not drinking as they will be negative and say it wont work, then i will go "oh f it" and think they are right and drink.

                        I vote for syncronised swimming pls, never done that and i am as graceful as an elephant so should be fun.

                        Who needs lap lanes guitar when we will be having too much fun playing around!

                            Hey Pool Babies. I have a question or maybe several?. Lol

                            Just how warm is it? Is the pool in Australia?

                            I?ve been told in the past I should not post in Starting Out?.
                            Hope it?s ok to jump in?if the water?s really really warm?

                            I have af weekends but it?s hard being by myself and I just talk myself into a bottle of wine or 6 beer when I?ve told myself I won?t. Saying I wont? on MWO makes me more accountable.

                            So, if it?s ok, I?ll bring brownies and pineapple since that?s on my menu the next 2 days.

                            Someone wanted cream with them in General?I have high fat yogurt?

                              Lets have it in Australia it is much warmer. Melbourne will be 30+ degrees celcius on Saturday and Sunday will be 33.

                              RC and Ronnie i rang and told my daughter i would not be going to her fiance's sisters 18th birthday as i was 4th day AF. She was so proud after a few jibes which i accepted as being true. Like me saying i drink to much and her reply "really mother" but it has put a smile on my face to know that she is proud of me.

                              RC i always drink by myself but now i am just going to take long walks when i feel the need and i think i will have a very clean house.

                              RC what is the f* it button, you have not mentioned.

                              God even at work i am getting the support from you guys as at this stage i am always thinking oh home time soon, wine time soon. Not for this AF 4 girl
