Hi all,

Just thought I,d send a quick message wishing each and every one of you a lovely christmas.

Unfortunately had a slip some weeks back and couldnt bring myself here while drinking after 9 months sober.

Back sober now since Nov29th and attending AA which is helping me through this tricky time.

Hope all are keeping well and in a good place.
Christmas can be tough but hopefully we can all get through without the demon drink.

Its nice to get back on here and hope to stick around.

Well done for climbing back on the wagon and for coming here.

It takes courage to to do that after a long time AF, it would have been easy to slip back into a worse state than before. Why not join a thread and check in for more regular encouragement here.

Thank you all, and Ktab, I ll take your advice, and check in daily, hop you are keeping well.
Also , going to AA is a great support and enjoying the meetings and going to one tonight.

Its nice to wake up on Christmas eve and hopefully christmas morning without a hangover.
I am planning to go for a run after being woken up at probably 5 am by an excited son :-).

Hi all,

Hope you all are having a nice christmas.

After my slip, this time around is a lot tougher, maybe the time of year isnt helping, feckin drink everywhere.
But am going to continue to fight this, I KNOW it will get easier and I am so aware of the great benefits of being sober.
I have the added support of AA which I find really helpful.

Sorry to hear of your slip but you have done the right thing and come back because you know how important it is to stay sober ? for you and your family. Yip it is tougher each time around so you know why you need to stay strong and determined this time. Go back and read the toolbox there is some great info and tips in there that might resonate with you.

tks Dewdrop, reading a lot on here in the last few days, and still attending AA.
30 days now, so starting to feel a bit more confident in staying sober.
Must admit, am finding it tougher this time, which is why I have added AA to my support.
Hopefully no more slips, really dont want to have to START all over again.
