Hi All from me too. I don't think I'm going to keep really close track of my days but I'll have it in the back of my mind. My first completely sober day was Jan 2.....so I'll know next year that I'm really on a roll......

Vini - You mentioned 30 Day Shred and it reminded me how lazy I have been lately. I did the 30 Day Shred about 3 months ago and lost 15 pounds and a crazy amount of inches. Sadly, everything has returned to where it once was :upset: But I fully intend to get started again, once I have at least 7 days cigarette-free. I really don't think throwing excercise in on top of it all right now is going to help (or am I just making excuses?). I also have Ripped in 30 which I hope to complete as well....so that is my next goal!
Jenny-I'm sorry to hear that you've had something bad happen. Please stay strong and remember that drinking doesn't make anything better. You're already proving how strong you are!
I am horrible at mentioning everyone by name, so I will just say to the rest of the Januaries, good job on your achievements and keep up the good work! We can do this together.

Hi Jammers,
Just a quick drop in - spent the night at my dad's place last night. I'm in the process of making the funeral arrangements, etc. He will probably not make it past today - definitely not beyond tomorrow. He looks peaceful, and I had quality time with him - I think he knew I was there.
No time today but just wanted to welcome the new Jammers and send strength to everyone. Thanks Chill, SL and everyone who gave me support during this tough time.
I have remained AF through this ordeal and I'm so happy I have. Today is day 57 for me.
Jenny, hope your family situation is not too dire and is getting resolved...........
Stay strong everyone - YOU GUYS ARE ALL SOUNDING SO GREAT - MAKES ME PROUD!! It really is worth it even when you're going through something that would normally make you want to drink more than ever!

sounds like a few of us are hitting our goals which is fantastic. no chance for me to even think about drinking today, came home from work about 2.30pm and got under my duvet and slept for 3 hours solid..... hope it doesnt affect tonights sleep. UW, thinking about you.Today is the tomorrow i worried about yesterday and it turned out fine

My quit date May 21, 2011 and I am on day 235af.
SS to hear about your dad Unwasted. Both you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.Comment

Wow are we an energetic and productive bunch here when we're sober! People quitting smoking and others organizing our quit dates!!
Life is good!
K9 - what is a 30-day shred? Does that just mean diet and exercise or does it mean a specific diet? I could use some of that whatever it is! One guy I read about who quit drinking and smoking at the same time said he thought the weight gain from stopping smoking would be cancelled out by the weight loss of stopping drinking. Sounds like good logic to me.
Jenny - sorry to hear about your troubles. Unfotuntely life is full of those - I hope that yours soon get better.
UW - :l:l I'm so sorry for what you're going through. I'm sending lots of prayers your way.
