JAMMIN JANUARY KICKOFF FOR A SOBER 2012 - NEWBIE SUPPORT THREAD
Hi to everyone, just checking in before going to bed. Tomorrow is day 90 and I am feeling a bit apprehensive. I have been having a few annoying thoughts about drinking but not really craving.
(Yes, it does get easier.) I am hoping I can keep this up and continue to tell the AL devil on my shoulder to shut up. He gives me a nudge once in a while and tells me that I am okay now and can handle a few drinks again.
I need to just keep coming here and reading all your posts. It gives me strength. I don't want to go back to headaches, stomach aches and forgetfulness.
I like waking up and feeling good.
I will do the happy dance tomorrow for day 90!!!
Take care everyone,
R4LDon't worry, be happy!

JAMMIN JANUARY KICKOFF FOR A SOBER 2012 - NEWBIE SUPPORT THREAD
Hey Jammers - Nora started a February thread, so let's go over there rather than start a new one.
R4L - 90 days is fantastic! I'm closing in on 90, but still feel like I need to read and post. I've read too many accounts of people cratering after even much longer periods of time!
Hyper - your description is perfect......drinking is not a compulsion anymore. But, the thoughts are still there. We have to keep this going so that eventually we'll rarely give alcohol a space in our heads. I'm having glimmers of that!
Victoria, Lulu, Irie, My Life, Tipps, Life Change, RC, Wine Wrangler, Scottish Lass, K9..........and anyone else who has posted here............Hope to see everone on the February Free thread! :lilheart:

I agree--lots of successes here this month and I really appreciate the support from you all!
Running over to the February Free thread now......Psalms 119:45

I'm not perfect, never will be, but better than I was and not as good as I'm going to be.

Loved this thread. It made a big difference for me. On to Free February.~ The chief cause of failure is trading what you want most for what you want now ~
