LG - I'd wake up some days to the house clean as a whistle...and didn't remember doing any of it! One of my favorite things to do was anything out in the front yard in my pajamas...such as raking the lawn in the rain. Oy vey. I'm sure my neighbors are glad that I've stopped fiddling around at all hours...in my jammies. The guy at the liquor store has seen all my pajamas as well...I had no problem flaunting them, even the ones with the holes in the right arse cheek. LOL:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Rant alert …
I absolutely hated smelling AL on hubby’ s breath last night. I hated even more the fact that he got “frisky “ far too late past my bedtime.
How many times he must have smelled AL on me … did not say a thing … I think possibly because it used to make me feel frisky too … and quite uninhibited that way …
Tipsy-me made for great sex, tipsy-hubby, not so much.workaholic, shoeaholic and yes ... alcoholic

^Shue, sober sex is far better, and less anti-climatic.:H:H:H
K9, raking in the rain? really? LOL... I went over to a neighbor's house one night and tried to rescue his puppies (from their fenced-in pen) because I thought it was too cold for them to be outside. The neighbor called the police who showed up on my doorstep (thankfully, I was unable to actually get one of the puppies)..."Mam, have you been drinking?" I said, "Yes I have! I'm in my own house!" LOL
Lord have Mercy, I had forgotten all about that!

Hello Ranters!
You know - I think the smell of AL is disgusting when I'm not drinking! It's like being around smokers when you've stopped smoking. It stinks and it's gross!! My hubby never drinks to excess but occasionally he'll smoke a cigar on our back patio with some cognac or port. It didn't bother me in the past but now I can't stand the smell when he comes back inside!!! LOL. My sober nose is much more discriminating.
Luckily I never raked leaves in the rain - but I can definitely relate to waking up to a sparkling house and wondering how it got that way.

I really can't comment on the sober sex, I am sure it's WAY better, but it's funny, since I stopped drinking I haven't had any one night stands. LOL I'm waiting for my Knight in Rusty Armor to come along (Shiny is asking too much, I'm not picky).:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Lmao look what happens when I step away.... Drunk cleaning nymphomaniacs with rakes and puppies....lol
K9, the movie was Young Adults with Charlize Theron. It might be the stupidest movie I have ever seen.
I was definitely more of a sexual deviant while drinking, but it is way better sober. And no walk of shame lol.
I have also woken up to cleaned house, furniture rearranged and red wine spilled in polka dots in every room lol.Day 1 again 11/5/19

LG - I go through ups and downs with that. Some days I think "What a mess my life is! No wonder I was drinking!!!" Then I calm down for a few days and think really things are not that bad and I'm grateful not to be dealing with problems hungover.

Thanks mylife. I know it is the nature of the beast. However, I just have to say, and I don't mean to be discouraging to anyone, but nothing much has changed since I quit drinking. Or at this moment it doesn't seem to have. I still don't have a lot of energy, the pounds have not melted away, lol, I'm still not bounding out of bed in the mornings, so I'm still always almost or a little late to work... For God's sake, I think I may as well have a cocktail.
Rant over! No one run to my rescue, I'm not drinking, and I don't have anything to drink in my house.

I HATE that everywhere I went today, people were either buying alcohol, drinking alcohol, talking about drinking, or drunk.
I hate that my girlfriend asked ne to get together for drinks because it's St. Patties. I said nope.
I hate that yesterday when my brother asked me if I wanted a beer, and I said no he replied with "ya gotta fall of the wagon sometime". I said why? LolDay 1 again 11/5/19

Good for you hanging in there Nursie!
LG - I will vouch for the fact that problems don't just evaporate when we stop drinking. But what I was finding out is that I was adding to them instead of solving them with the AL. I started on a low carb diet after about week two and have lost 10 lbs. That made me feel a lot better as I knew I couldn't have stuck with it if I'd been drinking. Try doing something that your drinking held you back from before...just a thought. You'll get there.
Okay - rant - I hate that our neighbors had a loud St Patty's day party until all hours last night in the bak yard so it kept me awake!!
