Well NC, all that and more accompanies my "day-after" anyway. So, I was feeling like that every day. I can't believe I just kept on drinking, lol. The good news for you then, is it will stop after a week or so, and you won't have to feel hungover ever again.

AGUY!!
Was thinking about you the other day and wondering how you were.
You can do this. You are better than Al. Just one minute at a time and before you know it, it will be a week. Find something to do, help someone else, build something, cook something, do yard work, work out. Hit the gym hard and violate some weights. Make the treadmill your bitch. Hang in there buddy.Day 1 again 11/5/19
Goal 1: 7 days :heartbeat:
Goal 2: 14 days :happy2:
Goal 3: 21 days :happy2:
11/27/19: messed up but back on track
12/14/19: bad doozy but back on track
One day at a time.

Ditto on weekendsThat popping sound you hear is me attempting to remove my head from my arse. It's been there for years so this may take a while.
Admitting I need healing. And I am not big enough to do this alone.

I know it's been said before, but I really hate it when people try to pressure me to drink or push for a reason why I'm not. A girl this weekend wouldn't let it drop: "But why aren't you drinking?" After she had scoffed at my coconut water, offered me a margarita like 20 times, and argued with every reason I gave her, including "I just don't feel like it" and "I drank too much for a couple years, my body wants to heal." I mean, really?
I'm gonna start responding with the most awkward answers ever. I am going to look right into their eyes and say something like, "I'm pregnant. And I don't know who the father is." Or "I have an obscure STD that flares up when I drink. One sip, I'm sicker than a dog and the infection becomes airborn." Or maybe I'll just f'ing tell them I'm an alcoholic. That seems to be the most repulsive answer.
Grrr. Ok, done with the rant. Moving on...

If you do that, will you have someone capture that on video for us? I'd like to spit milk out my nose laughing. And be wearing a skirt sans hose or this particular excuse is a bit trickier for someone to buy - unless of course - they are smashed. :H:lol3:That popping sound you hear is me attempting to remove my head from my arse. I agree with you pocket. some people just won't let it go... My SIL last weekend kept telling me how much more she like me when i'm sober then continually asked me if i wanted a glass of wine... the funny part is she doesn't drink.. it was wierd and pissing me off.. but gotta take the good with the little bit of bad..

Pocket...your post was too funny! :H The sad part is she probably wouldn't believe the alcoholic answer, but would believe the others! Oy. You could just tell her "If you ask me again I am going to kick your ass". Say that with a straight face and I bet she quits asking. LOL Good job on getting through it...stay strong!:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

Someone once said...I have an allergic reaction AL. People would ask him, oh really what happens??
And he said...I go to jail.

I was out last week for dinner with my boss who kept pushing me to have a drink all through dinner as he pounded glass after glass of wine and then a few cocktails to boot. It was the longest and most greuling dinner I've had to sit through for a long time. He got so trashed I was actually repulsed and thought even if I were drinking I wouldn't join him! He could definitely use the help of this site.

You guys are too funny! You're right, K9, she probably wouldn't believe the truth. Don't you just love it when people tell you that you aren't an alcoholic?
LG, with people I don't know well or haven't known long, it's easy for me to say "I don't drink." I have known this girl a long time. I officiated at her wedding a couple of years ago, actually. She and her partner know I got hammered for an entire summer but think I got it under control... I wouldn't really mind telling them I am an alcoholic, but it's going to require a Serious Conversation and due to busy schedules we only see each other every few months now. I didn't want to get into it at a party. Like, "Well, since you refuse to let it go, let's get some deep processing going on about the progression of my alcoholism and how I've been hiding it. Better pull up a chair and grab yourself a snack! Fun fun!"
