Well, it is Friday 6.30pm and I would usually be on my second glass of wine by now but instead I am here sipping a nice cup of tea! I am so pleased with myself, even went out to the supermarket earlier and didn't even glance down the AL aisle I can do this I am going to show myself I am strong and I do have willpower!!!

:yougo::yougo: Go Mauri! Go Mauri! :yougo::yougo:

Look at you, sittin' up with your tea on a Friday night! Awesome!

I have tons of non-alkie drinks tonight too. I bought some Horchata...I used to order it at Mexican restaurants (pre-margarita days). It's a rice/cinnamon/milk drink. We'll see. I also have lots of sparkling mineral water to mix with juices. I hope I don't wet the bed...oh wait, those days are over. LOL

I'm making a big dinner of chicken smothered in swiss cheese, mashed potatoes, salad and biscuits. I'll probably be too stuffed to even want to have any beverages after that.

ointup: Happy sober Friday night everyone!

Thanks guys - picking up those north of england vibes. Usually when my heads start doing this I don't log onto MWO. So, this is progress. I will not give in. Instead I'm going to go and finish my tax return. Yes, have left it to the last week - again! I wonder why!

Just read this back and it says "my heads". Was going to change it but actually that's exactly what's going on! Now bugger off the stupid AL one

What an awesome quote for a Friday night!! I love it. I'm going to get my hair done and then I have a great documentary to watch about a guy who lost a lot of weight by juicing. I like inspirational success stories.

PS I'm also reading that book A Piece of Cake that K9 recommended. It's great. I got it yesterday finally from the library and I'm half way through.

It's a sober Friday evening for me!

I'll join you all in a sober Friday night. It's only 3:45 pm here in Quebec and witching hour has not started but I fear it NOT. Drinking mint tea while a soft snow falls outside the cottage window. It's so pretty. We are having tortiere (meat pie left over from Christmas) and I'll do some nice veggies with it.

I think boredom is my trigger so I'll have to suggest bowling or doing something tonight if we can get out of the laneway. We live in a valley and it's filling with the wet stuff as I type. It might be a night in watching Trailer Park Boys reruns. No booze for this chick.

Mauri, you will do well because you are here and have made up your mind. Period.

Whew, that was close. As I was serving up supper my Alcohol brain actually had me convinced that wine would be an option with dinner. Hubby didn't suggest it.. I think he's trying to help me. I rode the stupid thoughts and before, I knew it, dinner was over and the dishes done. We are going to friends tonight to pick something up and I promise I'll be good. It's unbelievable how easily I can slip right back into it.

Hope you're all doing well this evening. Snow's abating...
