Hope you don't mind me joining you Stella but I actually had my first alcohol free day on 7th January too. I had been finding excuses for years to put it off and am so proud that I have got through 30, and let's be honest, nearly 40 days though I am taking one day at a time. I find that the hardest thing is meeting people as I am sure they can see that I am an alcoholic even though I think I have hidden from most people if not all people outside the family for years. Feel really ashamed at the same time that I have had to go through this and finally admit a problem so it is brilliant to find out that I am not on my own. Good luck you guys!Comment

Hi Stella I have been drinking since I was 14 years old too I am now 38 and I have an 18 month old baby girl, I so want to stop drinking I just don't know how. If you have any tips for me I would really appreciate it. I so want to see my baby girl grow.
