Forgot to drink the wine!!!
I've been doing the program since late December - vitamins, Topamax, and since early January, the amazing Kudzu. This past week I've been entirely alcohol-free, and tonight I cooked a special dinner for a family member who's moving away...and I forgot to drink the glass of wine that was sitting at my place at the table! Hallelujah, I think I there may be hope for me! By the way, I've lost seven pounds, too.

Forgot to drink the wine!!!
That is fantastic news! I've always heard about those people who just "forget to eat lunch", I always thought, " who ARE these people?" then I got busy, step-son, husband, law-school, two dogs, -- it's even happened to me. I hope one day, I forget my wine too! I'm really lookin' up to you right now! CONGRATS!--

Forgot to drink the wine!!!
Unexpected
It was such a strange, unexpected, unusual thing, I had to share it with you all. I'm not the kind of person who "just forgets" to eat lunch, and if the lovely Chardonnay is there, heaven knows I won't forget that either. But I just wanted to encourage the newbies that the program really works!
I had been at the dinner table about ten minutes when I realized I hadn't had a sip. I knew I could have some, but could I continue without any? Sure! At the end of the meal, there was my forgotten glass of wine, still untouched. I poured it back into the bottle for cooking.
Here's the sad part - I imagine that no one in my now-grown family knows that I have a problem, since they live away from home, since I limit myself to 2 or 3 glasses when they are here, since I have only been drinking for 1-1/2 years, since they don't know I'm now working hard at changing - what a load of crap!
Back to the program - I think it was the addition of the Solaray Kudzu capsules to the rest of the routine that finally did the trick. I find that my appetite is way down, and suddenly I am not thinking about a drink at the end of the day...or the beginning of the day.
Thank God! It's been a long year and a half of problem drinking, and I'm glad to finally see that there might be hope for a normal relationship to alcohol.

Forgot to drink the wine!!!
Hey Dietcoke.
I will try and post this reply again since it wouldn't let me last night.
That is FANTASTIC, I wish I had your willpower. I caved last night while curling and had 2 tall rye and dietcokes. I am not beating myself up though, because last year it would have been 7 or 8 ryes.
I just wanted to say keep up the good work.
All y best.

Forgot to drink the wine!!!
AF for 4 months- It's great
I tried everything to stop drinking and I never thought anything would ever work. I went to Shick- Shadel hospital, It's an aversion therapy program and I thought I was the only one experiencing miracles. I feel so much better, my BP dropped by 30 points. I think clearer at work, I love the new me. I feel I have been walking around in a daze for the last 25 years. Anyway, I know there is now hope for anyone to recover form this terrible addiction. I'm so glad they have found other methods thay help. As they say there is no silver bullet but these new medical breakthroughs offer a world that we have never experienced. :new: It's so nice to find a place to communicate with people going through the same thing.
