DUI update

Hi everyone! Well all is well here in sober land. Almost 3 months now. Have to admit I had my hardest time yesterday when I went to see a band I love play but I drank water. I feel sick when I think about my past actions. Not drinking is such a better way to be for me. It is hard but so worth it. My case was co tinued once again. He is trying to wait for the right opportunity so I won't lose my license for 45 days on top of my year of restricted driving and interlocck. I almost forget the shame to the days I have to show up for court and it slaps me in the face all over again.

Good for you for not drinking. :l i know it's hard with the continuations and everything. My son went thru that with his DUI too. Hang in there. :h

I'm so proud of you! Whenever I think that drinking sounds like "fun", I remember the year that I had to blow my car to get it to start (interlock). It was so embarrassing. I couldn't ever give anyone a ride anywhere, and even just being at the gas station with people looking made me feel ashamed. That's the reality of drinking for me...not the buzz. Great job getting through the concert, I'm sure you had a blast without drinking! Keep up your good work!

Star, great job on your 3 months! Think of all this as being lucky in a way that something "forced" you into a better life. I truly believe it keeps improving in small ways and that our old lives were such a waste.....good in the sense of "education" but waste in the big picture. Really happy for you!
