Ismael, I too had difficulty with AA. I think it's excellent for some people, but it wasn't for me. I'm so glad you found us. Keep with us.:welcome:

Yo ordene el libro y el tratamiento, esporo que funcione. Yo tambien soy muy privada. Bebo demaciado, no se porque. Me siento bien cuando bebo, pero es damaciado. Tengo esperanza. Quizas no hablas espanol, uno nunca sabe. Yo hablo tres idiomas. Mis padres son de Europa y vivieron en un lugar muy bello y Hispano. Te mando suerte de mi corazon.

The thing I don't like about AA is that if you voice the fact that you don't feel you fit in there, they view it as the behavior of "a willful alcoholic" and are quick to say you are NO DIFFERENT, you are obviously in DENIAL (everything there is about "being in denial"), and if you will just succumb, go to enough meetings and do what everyone tells you to do, then you will "get it".
I never got it.
This on the other hand I am getting. I GET that my brain needs to be retooled, which is why the CDs are so awesome. And I get that my body needs nutritional help to heal. What I don't get is people who don't get that! I find it hard to believe that the sugar-ladden "treats" served at all AA meetings are doing anything to aid in the recovery process....anyway! Don't get me started (oops too late!) I just wanted you to know you're not alone in your feelings about AA
