Hello everyone, I was here early last year and quit after a grand total of 4 days AF. Definitely not one of my greatest accomplishments. Anyway, I've been trying to moderate as much as I can. Today I just got home from doctor and blood pressure is way to high. So now I am scared.

I AM going to quit drinking because I am an alcoholic and am killing myself. I've been drinking for many years. Therefore, I know how hard the next couple weeks are going to be.

If anyone has any advise that you would care to share, I would really appreciate it.

Hi Nursie! Thanks for the advise. Yesterday was actually good. I'm trying to maintain a different attitude this time around. The last time I tried this, my heart was not completely in it. Everyday (of the whole 4 days), I kept saying I'm miserable because I can't drink. I'm not doing that this time. This time it's for ME and my FAMILY.

I have 5 boys, the oldest is 17 and the youngest is 9. I feel the need to be a better role model than I have been.

So, this time I'm going to keep smiling!

I didn't quit on my 1st-4th try. This forum has people with a wealth of information. They are not judgemental and they either are where you are now or have been there. I couldn't have done my over 2 Years AF this time without this forum and the people here.
