i am a failure after 7days
You are just like the rest of us. We all need a fair amount of failures before we reach our real true QUIT. Just look at it as a hiccup. Please jump back up here on the wagon. I am reaching my hand out to you on my day 2. I have fallen off the wagon too many times to count.
I am closer to my quit and so are you.
We can do this.Tipplerette
I do this for my children, my grandchildren, my health, my peace of mind, and mostly for the opportunity to learn to live with my true, unfiltered, clear-headed, vulnerable self.

The only way you can be a failure is if you quit trying. And you're not quitting, you're here at MWO, right?
Stop the negative talk and tell yourself that you are in control of your life, you are a winner, and you are going to live a sober and happy and healthy life. See it, believe it, and it will happen.

Your not a failure, you just had a setback. You can do it!I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.
Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.
Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

You're not a failure. We all make mistakes. What do you think brought on the drinking?:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:
Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.

Okkslady, I posted something in the Newbie thread that would be of big help to you. I just posted it today, so it should be toward the top if you want to take a look.
I think having a program/plan is important. With your shipment of supplements, you can get started.
It will probably take a multi-pronged approach for you to stay sober. I hope you'll start reading and putting a plan together.
Addiction is a bitch!
Best to you.

i am a failure after 7days
Hi, Okks.
As others have said, you are NOT a failure!! You have come back--and you made it through seven days. That is a lot longer than I could make it most times. It does take most of us more than one try, but if we don't give up, it comes. Make a plan, come here a lot and ask for help whne you need it.
We've all been there.

i am a failure after 7days
hello everyone
Thanks for the encouragement. I didn't want to write about my 3 beers and just pretend it didn't happen but I felt terrible. K9 what brought it on was another concert! I live close to casinos and I get free tickets to the concerts cause I know people who work there. I know this sounds totally ridiculous but I drank to fit in. Before i had the first beer i was quiet and reserved. I was with a guy who doesn't even drink and i felt like my conversation was lacking and i felt like i had not much to say. I knew a drink would bring out the so called fun social person! I was right i relaxed more and conversation flowed and we were both more relaxed. Im glad i stopped at 3!!! I will check out the newbie's nest post and make a plan. Im way to old for this life. I got to get it together.

Hi Okks!
Isn't it sad that we still feel "peer pressure" even at our age? I really feel for kids and teens that go through it daily. I don't have many social situations lately, so I don't have much advice on that topic. Maybe next time you go you can make a plan beforehand so that you don't give in? I know it's not easy! I know you really want to quit drinking, I can hear it in your posts. It IS possible, but it will take some work. Please stick close and let us know how you're doing!

Believe in yourself. You are stronger than you think.
