    At the end of day 3 and have major heartburn

    nausea. Has anyone experienced this when going AF? It's happened the yesterday afternoon and today.

    I have not personally but have read it is one side effect of abstaining.

      Yes, my stomach was a mess. Nausea, constipation, irritablity, hypersensitive reactions to sounds and stress.

      It will get better. Promise.
      Day 1 again 11/5/19
      Goal 1: 7 days :heartbeat:
      Goal 2: 14 days :happy2:
      Goal 3: 21 days :happy2:
      11/27/19: messed up but back on track
      12/14/19: bad doozy but back on track

        Just had soup for breakfast, we will see how it goes. But I'm feeling much better today

            yes ... and plenty of it ...

            I did not get it while pregnant - but I did get the first 2 times I went cold turkey ...

            ginger tea ... and plenty of it
            workaholic, shoeaholic and yes ... alcoholic

              I think alcohol caused my chronic heartburn, and I thought quitting would take the heartburn away, but alas, that is not the case. I finally broke down and bought some medicine for it today.

                Hi Mya, I hope you are feeling better.

                Have you tried yogurt, to help bring your stomach back around to feeling better? Plain old yogurt can battle heart burn and sour stomach, and can help to restore your stomach bacteria etc.

                After quitting drinking, I have a lot less heart burn in general, it's night and day. Stick with it, and hopefully, it will improve.
