    Hangover Free

Just wanted to share an accomplishment.
I'm a binge drinker - one drink out means it will lead to 5 - 7.
Last night I went out to a club with friends, stayed out late but did NOT drink.
Feels great on so many levels.
Plus I don't want to put friends down but a few girls were really ripped (but not driving) and I was glad I wasn't presenting myself that way.
    Thanks for your support!!
Also I started reading Kick The Drink - Easily and it makes a lot of sense.

Great book, Great accomplishment. I know what you mean abouut the other girls presenting themselves all ripped and either weepy or giddy. So happy that you were sober and had a great time. Well done.

            Good for you LBF!!!

I had a cringe memory when you mentioned how the other women looked through your sober eyes. I cringe every time I see someone being all loud and slurry and repetetive, etc. knowing that's how I got every night of my life. Ugh! So happy I don't live like that any more! You will be too. Good work!

I go out myself but I don't drink. I had one of those experiences last night that has made me so grateful to not drink and I woke up hangover free. I knew if I drank, I could have easily be like the birthday girl. She drank till she puked and her bf had a hard time getting her in the car, and take her home. She woke up with a hangover and I was able to go to church and have a nice lunch afterwords.

                CONGRATULATIONS LOSTBUTFOUND!
I quit drinking on March 8, 2020. Taking it One Day At A Time and no more taking my quit for granted.

Also doing it for me. I got to stay sober for me.

Just consecrate on today and do what you can to remain sober for today and worry about staying sober tomorrow, tomorrow.

Two friends weren't "too" bad, just toasty. But one, lord, she always drinks to excess, has wild mood changes and bobs and weaves back and forth - it's a wonder she doesn't hurt herself or anyone else.
And yes, I thought 'thru the sober eyes' but tried to not make any judgements. They weren't driving and it was far more giddy than weepy. (hee hee)
I got so much done today and will start my work week feeling more accomplished and at peace.
                  Thanks, folks, for sharing, too!
