CD Player drama has come full circle :)

    Hello all,
To anyone reading my silly postings regarding the simple task of purchasing a CD player with the "repeat" feature, I thought you would enjoy an update to the drama (which has now been going on for two weeks!)

After receiving my giant DJ version of a CD player which I couldn't play because it's meant for DJs and to be hooked up to a bunch of other equipment, I returned that and today, after taking ihavebeenherkind's advice, I went to Best Buy and asked for a CD player with the "repeat" feature. Piece of cake. And cheap. Only $40! Right in my own backyard, no need to google it, nothing special about it, just a simple little CD player with a repeat function.

Got the thing home and thought, hmmm...I wonder if my old CD player has a repeat function (now that I know what I'm looking for and what name to call it!) Sure enough, right under my nose this whole time is a cd player with a repeat function.

I couldn't help burst out laughing and remembering sitting in AA meetings where people are always talking about "the queer mental condition" (I think that phrase is hilarious!) of alcoholics, and how they can turn the simplest, most mundane tasks into giant obstacles that the average person wouldn't even bat an eye at.

So today I am laughing at my own queer mental condition and accepting that it is a part of who I am, not judging it, not calling myself stupid. I'm just me. And I am ready to make a commitment to the hypno CDs.

I hope everyone is having a nice weekend...

    love,
    Roxy

Roxy, that made me LAUGH OUT LOUD!!!! You had it in your home the whole time???!!! LOL. And the queer mental condition I have never heard of but is sadly so true. I can make the biggest mountain out of any molehill. Glad you can finally get down to the task of now listening to the CDs instead of frantically looking for a way to play them. That is funny. Let us know how the CDs work for you, okay???
I'm really easy to get along with once people learn to worship me

      Roxy!
Omg Roxy I just cracked up at your story! Don't feel too bad though because in the book it does tell you to get a CD player with an "endless loop" feature...I believe "endless loop" is a feature used for CASSETTE TAPE players to replay the tape continuously not CD players (same idea just different terminology)
Glad you got it all staightened away! The CD's really help me.

      Happy listening!

        Roxy,
That is a great story - my son smashed my new CD player the second day I got it (he is 3 and was trying to put on of his CD's in and dpushed it way too hard -yelling "bang bang" - always a bad sign when heard from another room!!!!!!!) I have been listening to the CD's for a little while but last night was the first time I found the actual effect (probably because it was so quiet for once as well!!!). Well done and keep on it.
