          Really?

Not too far from London, sounds like you are a long way away - one of the comforts of this site is that you realise that people the world over are dealing with the same problems as you and whilst you don't wish that on them, it gives us strength to tackle our own demons. It's so horrible being back on day one, I hate it but I usually feel a great deal better in the morning and also confident but day 2 is usually a dangerous time too when I all too readily (and happily) forget that I actually did need to stop - it the day I usually try to kid myself. Hey ho, why on earth do we put ourselves through this cr*p? I'd be a very rich woman if I had a pound for every morning I'd woken up and said "never again". x

Love the Lotus quote! Powerful imagery right there.

Best of luck on your journey to cut down on AL. I am on 50 days AF and feeling absolutely grateful for my sobriety. Modding thoughts sometimes pop into my head but I know they will ultimately lead me back to a life of addiction and despair. Besides, I feel so much healthier when I don't drink that I don't want to feel hungover ever again. Good luck and thanks for sharing your story!
Whatever you invest in the circle of LIFE is what comes back to you. Multiplied. What you give to people is what they eventually give back to you. Don't do the math. Just increase your LOVE.

                  Hi Wavey!
Glad to have you back. I won't even bother saying that moderation doesn't work for most people (me included). I tried it, many times...but by the 4th or 5th beer all my resolve went out the window and off I headed to the store to get more (usually not dressed in my finest, usually my holey pajamas...but that's a story on another thread. LOL). Anyway, stick around and keep posting...we'll keep you in line!

                      Really?

Mama - Doesn't Bud Light bring out the best in us? (NOT!) I wore one pair of yoga pants with a big hole in the right arse cheek, paired with socks and flip flops. Yeah, it was pretty cute. LOL

Sorry we hijacked your thread Wavey!

                        Really?

Can I join the group hug?

Hi Wavey, thanks for posting this. I've been there many times and that's why I know that, for me, moderation is not going to be an option.

BTW, I'm famous at the Kwikie Mart around the corner for my ragged tank top and sweat pants :b

Yo Wavey, nice to see you.

Sisy it's great to see you making your way around the boards and finding someone to share your tapering experience with.

                              Really?

I always thought I looked respectable if I threw on my long wool coat over my pajamas.:H The fact that we have two dogs and four cats doesn't make for a pretty black wool coat though.

                              BTW, hi Wavey.
