    Back on track

    So I slipped up on my second day.....
    But guess what day 3 AF
    Day 4AF
    Today is day 5, I will do this.
    My eyes are brighter, I feel more calm and i think the penny has dropped.
    I don't need AL to have a good time or feel confident.

    I know the first few months will be hard, I understand I will prob be tempted many a time, with all your support I can do this.

              As well you should be.....and you will continue to feel that way, and even better the longer you can manage to fight the beast.

              Keep it up and stay strong....the moment of happiness you "think" you might get from drinking, wont be worth the remorse you will have when you wake up the next morning.

                  Hi SOI!
                  I don't know of anybody that quit on their first try. Lord knows it took me a couple of years of starting and stopping. Last year I had 257 sober days...but not all in a row. I'd go a few weeks, then drink a few days, sober a few weeks, etc. I don't know why I dragged it out like that, it was torture. The constant thinking about it and scheming whether I'd drink or not. It's so much easier NOT to drink. It may not seem like it at first, but it is total freedom. I don't have to figure out which store to go to, if I have enough to get me through the night, or worry about doing something stupid or dangerous. Life without alcohol is anxiety-free for me. I know that you can get there too. The important thing is to never quit quitting. You'll get there, and we can help! Hang in there, you're doing great!
