        Hey Dizzy Bee

I may print out your plan and put it on the fridge, as its an almost exact replica of what I want to do, down to the headstands!!!

        Great plan!!

          :thanks:

LOL, I'll be honest and tell you that I already told the instructor that I'm NOT doing headstands. I had a traumatic experience at my first yoga class. I couldn't even do headstands as a kid and the cheeky cow made me do one and she kept my legs up for five mins while explaining what I was doing wrong and other stuff to the class. :H:H:H:

            Good morning everyone!

Library girl - i'd love to get the name of that grapefruit drink, i love grapefruit!

I bought a coupon for a month of unlimited hot yoga classes. I guess my month begins today, a little intimated about an hour of hot yoga but i'll pick 2 or 3 days this week and just do it.

Just got back from the morning walk with my puppy, it's only 20 mins but boy do i feel so much better and just beginning day 3.

Have a great healthy AF day all!

Happy May Day everyone! Day 2 and feeling good. I'm always suprised at how much better I feel AF. Hope everyone has a great day of good eating and exercise. I'm off to the local farmer's market to pick up my fruits and veggies for the week.

              Cheers!

Ok I'll spill the beans. 30 Day Shred is a DVD led by Jillian Michaels (a trainer on The Biggest Loser). I love her style, she means business. It's a 30 day work out, 3 levels, 10 days each. I am almost done with Level 1, and it is no joke, if you follow her the best you can, you WILL lose inches, if not weight. My goal is to completed the 30 days, then move on to her next one called "Ripped in 30"...it's 4 levels, 7 days each (which only equals 28, I know). By the end of these 2 programs, you will definitely see a difference in muscle tone. Jillian kicks ass, so be ready!

On that note, I finished day 8 of Level 1 yesterday, and kept my calories to 1,347. I'm sore, but feel good. There's my progress report for the day...next? LOL

Great ideas everyone! I'm in! I like to idea of tracking my goals in my signature block! I think I'll actually track my successes. hmmmm. hopefully I'll have something in there tomorrow!

I just "learned" how to play kickball with my 7 year old. I aws really "panting" on Saturday! I felt great! I think I'll try to play a game a week... so that's 5 games this month. Plus at least 4 walks a week and 3 days of easy weight bearing exercises. Starting slowly... just 10 to 15 minutes per day. Have fun everyone!

                          Chard -
After your walk, maybe you could try a nice long bath with epsom salts in it? It replenishes vitamins that AL has robbed us of. Then maybe do a face mask and polish your nails (including toes)? I know that when I take care of myself on the outside, the inside starts feeling pretty darn good too. Just a couple of suggestions...I know how hard the first few AF days are, it seems like you just don't know what to do with yourself! Hang in there and get through the next couple of days. We are here for you!

K-dog, sorry, couldn't help myself, wanted to say that ever since I read your daughter said you shouldn't try to be hip. That should make her cringe.

I bought a huge box of Epsom salts and I now add a cup to every bath. Winter has just kicked in in South Africa and I feel better after every bath. I've heard it replenishes our bodies with Magnesium, something that alcohol robs us off and also something that helps us sleep better.

I started adding the Epsom salts after reading what the Epsom Salt Industry Council had to say about the health benefits from proper magnesium and sulfate levels:
                              • Improved heart and circulatory health, reducing irregular heartbeats, preventing hardening of the arteries, reducing blood clots and lowering blood pressure.
                              • Improved ability for the body to use insulin, reducing the incidence or severity of diabetes.
                              • Flushed toxins and heavy metals from the cells, easing muscle pain and helping the body to eliminate harmful substances.
                              • Improved nerve function by electrolyte regulation.
                              • Also, calcium is the main conductor for electrical current in the body, and magnesium is necessary to maintain proper calcium levels in the blood.
                              • Relieved stress.
                              • Excess adrenaline and stress are believed to drain magnesium, a natural stress reliever, from the body.Magnesium is necessary for the body to bind adequate amounts of serotonin, a mood-elevating chemical within the brain that creates a feeling of well being and relaxation.Reduced inflammation to relieve pain and muscle cramps.Improved oxygen use.Improved absorption of nutrients.Improved formation of joint proteins, brain tissue and mucin proteins.Prevention or easing of migraine headaches.

I guess our grannies were right. So get some Epsom salts in bulk! :h

Hey dizzybee, thanks for the info on empson salts. I have a old hardened box under my bathroom sink, maybe i'll give that a try tonight.

Back from the morning walk with puppy, slept terrible last night and had weird dreams. I always seem to dream i'm in the airport and cant seem to make my flight due to losing luggage, ID, or my clothes! lol

off to work, on day 3 today and so far, so good. Lost 2 pounds already!
