May makeover
Hey Buddies! I haven't been exercising. I planned to get up this morning and walk, but I went to bed too late and didn't have the energy to get up in time to do it. I will get moving soon though, bear with me.
17 days AF. (39 days as of April 2, then 3 minor slips...17 days since last drink, 69 days since my first quit)

Hey all - good morning (or evening depending on where you are?) to you all! It was great reading all your recent posts. Congrats to ImaClean... Daya... getting closer to the exercising... K9 and Dizzy.. thanks... SoOver it... good work!... Library Girl... don't beat yourself up over the exercise, great job over the AF! Life Change... Yay! May 2nd! Closer to my fave day.. Cinco De Mayo (in my own words... MEXICAN FOOD!)
My night last night? I went to our local carnival. 3 years ago my husband brought the Carnival back to our town after 50 years as a fundraiser for our 250th "birthday" of our Borough. (my husband is a councilmember of our small town of 2000 people). Anyway - yesterday was the kickoff day of year number three and I am proud to say I went to it without one drink! Usually I would sneak a few shots of Vodka (so no one would smell it!) and then take my kids over with our neighbors. Well, last night I had a blast going competely sober! We walked the short 1/4 mile to the park/carnival. Played at the park for a while, then let the kids go on one ride and get a funnel cake. We're going back on Thursday evening and will let them get wrist bands and ride all evening.
I did have a few shots afterwards (still tapering down, though I don't think I "need" to but it's still in the damn house because my husband keeps buying it.)
My husband started taking shots early (before I went to the Carnival - and before he went to his monthly council meeting). He told me early in the day that he was going to quit. Ha ha. I went to bed competely sober. Got up after listening to a "creative thinking hypno CD" (because I lost my "stop Drinking" one) for a snack as I didn't eat much earlier (because of the Topomax and lack of appetite?) and I was a little hungry and found my husband competely wasted slopping over a bowl of soup (disgusting), then getting up and falling onto the kitchen island practically knocking it over on it's side even though it's attached to the floor.
He woke up today as if nothing happened last night. I know I have to be patient with him, as I used to be the same.. but it's hard.
I wish the booze was out of the house so I can have some true AF days! Is that an excuse?I will be sober so I can be clear and remember being a mommy and so I can be in the best place God wants to place me. I will be here! now! FREE! 12.5mg Topamax AM&PM, Ativan until safe from withdrawal syndrome & for anxiety. Thank God I Am Done!

But yes - he has been at some borough-sponsored events drinking (with the Mayor!), and other Councilmembers found out, and they had an executive meeting with him. I'm still posting here, but not doing a damned thing, LOL. Today my tooth started to ache like hell again, and I came home about an hour early from work and got in bed and read my book. I've had to take another pain pill just now. I can't understand how taking three antibiotics a day since last Thurs. hasn't cleared up the infection.:upset: I can't blame my lack of exercise, AND lack of eating well on my toothache, though, because it has been ok this week until today.
What I can say, however, is I'm not DRINKING. hee he he, that feels good.
Can I be an honorary member of this club (someone who really does nothing, but still claims membership)? ?
P.S. Just realized I posted here twice today as if it were the first time, lol. Sometimes I wish we received notices like on FB when someone "replies" to our posts so we know where we posted! I have trouble finding my posts, and forget. I'm not calling it old age, but you can.

Morning Lifechange and all!
Walking with puppy at least twice each day, i need to incorporate some weight lifting as my arms need some muscle!
Onto Day 5! This weekend will be the start of my 1 month of hot yoga, I'm hoping that will help with remaining AF. Nervous about Friday night but will worry about today instead.
I am officially down 4 pounds this am! THough i rescued my puppy, many times i think she rescued me instead. I get such joy out of her !
Have a great day all!sigpic

Hi All!
LG - You just go ahead and post wherever your little heart desires, ok? I know I love reading your posts, you make me laugh!
Ima - I'm so happy about you and your puppy! You have NO idea how much joy my dogs have brought me. I have 3, and they all have their little personalities, I can even tell who is who by their footsteps. My little chihuahua (that I found sitting by the door) gets so excited at treat time that she spins in circles as she's running down the hallway. She's so freakin' cute and I've never been a fan of Chihuahua's but I think she was sent to me for a reason. I just wish she was bigger so I could hug the daylights out of her. HA
So I finished Level 1 of 30 Day Shred and I am starting Level 2 tonight, and I have to admit I'm a bit nervous. I did a sneak-peek and it's not going to be a walk in the park, I tell ya. Oh well, I will do the best I can. When Jillian says "I want you to feel your heart gurgling in your throat"...um, that scares me! LOL But OK Jillian, I'll give you my best!
Everyone hang in there and do the best you can at whatever point you are at. Be proud of what you have accomplished...and be kind to yourself.
K9 signing off...be back later friends!:heart:I love my daughter more than alcohol:heart:

LG well done for not drinking, still plenty time for exercise!
Lifrchange and k9, this 30 day shred sound though, but I have heard from others her 20 min workout really works. I'm tempted to hear how you go with level two k9? Apparently its not a beginners workout.
Ima clean, hot yoga!!! Tried it twice. Burns the calories and it's great for detoxing as you sweat bucket loads!! Well done.
As for me. Well I have been exercising heaps, have not touched a drop of alcohol, but caving sweet biscuits???
So I'm very proud of myself, feeling bright in the morning and happier overall.
But I having been sleeping very poorly.....Not sure why...
Keep up the good work guysToday I chose to start living!

I've been good with my diet but I just haven't gotten around to the excercise yet. I blame too much work and stress but then if you are looking for excuses, there are plenty. I have a beach walk planned for the weekend and I seriously have to go to yoga next week as my voucher is about to expire.
Good luck on your goals everyone.
My the forth be with you!

Morning All!
I made it through Day 1 of Level 2, it was quite hard, but it's supposed to be. By the time I do it 9 more times it better be easier (if not, something is wrong!). I had to stop a couple of times, but I didn't berate myself too much...it was my first time at that level. I can't let myself get frustrated or I'll give up and go sit on the couch with a bag of chips. LOL I am off at noon today, so I plan to just go get the workout OVER WITH, take a quick shower, and then tuck up on the couch. I'll be able to nap guilt-free that way!!! lol
Today is day 130 AF for me...time really does go by quickly when you start concentrating on other things (easier said than done, I know). I haven't had TOO many drinking thoughts lately...maybe because my muscles are so sore that's all I can think about. hehe
Ok, well I am off at 12 so I better pretend to do some work before then.
Hang in there everyone, and since today is International Star Wars Day (Thanks Dizzy!), let's remember the wise words of Yoda: "Do or do not. There is no Try."
