    Searching for Plan Q

Hi, I'm not new but I have not been here for quite awhile, and I mostly lurked back then, so yeah, :new:

I'm back looking for another plan to conquer this beast. I will read lots, stock up on my supplements again, and probably start tapering my intake for the next few days, as that seems to work better for me. Right now that's as far as my plan goes.

One thing I am trying differently this time, is reaching out to you guys. That is something a little out of my comfort zone, but I figured I'd give it a try. Besides, my comfort zone is not all that comforting anymore.

    Thanks for listening.

    Hi Pixie,
Welcome. I've lurked around here for years and posted very little. This time around I'm trying to post something everyday even if it's only on one thread. I'm finding not only do you find tremendous support from around the world but it is also cathartic...kind of like journaling. You can do this, just keep posting I swear it helps!

Hi pixie.."checking in" each day has definitely helped me get to my 10th day. Find one of the regular threads & jump onboard because you will 'see' the same people each time & get to know about their journey too as well as receiving much needed encouragement & support. There's one going on under Need Help ASAP where its early days for a few of us....come & join us.

Hi Pixie - I'm like you, I lurk a lot but only post occasionally. I also had no plan when I got to this sight, but after reading about everybody else's journeys I decided trying to go for 30 days AF would be a good start. Of course I didn't think I could do it, but I am now on day 21 I thought I could just cut back and make it work but that was too difficult for me. I couldn't decide what days I should drink and when I had a couple of AF days I would reward myself by drinking too much. Crazy! Lets get brave and both try posting more.

          Have a great weekend :h

Thank you everyone for a warm welcome. It feels good to be back (sort of ...).

sportymom, sounds like a plan, let's both be brave and try this posting thing - the accountability can be helpful. And congratulations on the 21 days!

              Pixie and Sporty,

I look forward to seeing you ALL over the boards! You can do it...it's very therapeutic once you get used to it. What's your moderating plan Pixie?

K9 - My plan is lacking in details right now, how's that for accountability

Seriously, I plan to drink less tonight than last night, and less tomorrow than tonight. That's as far as I'm going for now. But today I ordered the supplements I'm out of.

                We'll see how it goes.

Kradle -Yes, the hardest thing I've ever tried to do in my life by far. We'll get it right, if we work at it.

Briseus - I've found that kudzu and l-glutamine help with the cravings. All One or a whey concentrate is good for the essential amino acids (keeps your neurotransmitters in good supply). The MWO book has good suggestions on supplements, and you may find more suggestions in the holistic healing section of the forums.

I moderated well last night - two drinks, and woke up at 6:30 this morning feeling alert and refreshed - it felt good. It's a start.
