You sound just like me when i was your age, i'm 40 now , your lucky that you see a problem in what your doing, i didnt give a damn at 27 i was living in the Irish Bars of N Y .Hi, im 27 Year Old Male and my drinking is becoming out of control!!! Im a normal enough lad, but over the last 3 years my drinking has become a big problem. I go through spells. Like ill drink for like 5 days in a row and then stop for like 2 maybe 3 days, then drink for 5 or 6days. It just goes on like that all the time. its so annoying because when im off drink for few days i start to feel better and better in myself and then ill just (prob out of habbit) start drinking again. its so frustrating!! the amounts ide drink would be big enough. i mainly drink at home (i live with my parents) i would drink between 8 and 10 500ml cans on a normal drinking night. Pretty much never would i have lets say 3 or 4 cans. And last nite i drank a staggering 15 cans!!! Like thats not good!! Its cant be!! like what will i be like in 2 or 3 years time??? I live in a country which loves Drink!! I live in Ireland.
I think everyone here from Ireland can also relate about Ireland loving drink, some times i feel like the only sane person locked in a madhouse.
Life is better with out drink, might be hard to believe right now but it's true.

best of luck topper, you are doing great, a fellow dub here who is just over 6 months sober.......its very difficult but sooooo worth it.
Probabaly the biggest and best (and sometimes toughest ) decision I have ever made.
No regrets here about quitting.
I wish you well. Beware of sneaky cravings that may come out of the blue, they WILL pass.
I would also like to recommend reading Allen Carrs "Easyway to control Alcohol" and also the toolbox thread on here.
