I am not sure what to expect with withdrawal symptoms. Can anyone give me a heads up on this? I drink every night a lot.

I don't know for sure, but I am just starting out again, and its been hell! I tapered way back for over a week, and started feeling better, but no HAD to hit rock bottom again.
For me I get the shakes horribly, and nausous, but I think everyone is different. Good luck and keep us posted! Also no real sleep for a few days.

I have gone a day or two here or there not drinking and had some behaviors that I was not sure related to withdrawals or not. I always have trouble sleeping drinking or not! What do you do when you can't sleep?

Hey Rutru. My experience was irritability, sleeplessness, body aches, tiredness...the anxiety seemed to go away pretty quick after the AL was taken away. The whole process took about 11 days until I could sleep through the night...the rest of it took longer, but looking back it was not nearly as debilitating as the daily hangovers I had. I was drinking about 64 oz of AL every night. Hope that helps!

Melatonin helps with sleeping. Follow directions and take 1-2 pills about an hour before you want to sleep. It did work for me, but you may also ask your doctor about that. You can buy Melatonin over the counter. Obviously, exercise will also help with sleeping, but I didn't try that, lol.

Nausea
Insomnia
Shaking
Irritability (like being a complete bitch in my case)
Thirst
Nightmares
Sweats
