    I just counted days, and realized that I'm cheating myself! Today is day 18 AF!!!
    Well the 1st are the hardest days don't you worry anymore.
    When life looks like easy street there is danger at your door.

                Congratulations Dave! What a gift to be present in the moment, to be there to support your wife wholly, and to see and remember it all with sober eyes. Alcohol doesn't help us celebrate a moment, it clouds the truth and beauty of a moment. To truly honor and celebrate a moment like this is to be present and sober. You were there and you did it! Well done Dave and what beautiful boys you have! Thanks for sharing their photo.

                  Thanks again to all the well wishers!

                  Being present and sober certainly added to the moment. My wife and I really bonded as a team with a goal of caring and protecting our boys. This wouldn't have been possible had I been drinking. Today is day 19, definitely not planning to break the streak! One day at a time, and they start to add up. Cannot wait to get the boys home, and might get more sparkling cider for the occasion!
