I have not noticed that I am so much a rebel. I have noticed that many more people choose not to drink than I once thought. I don't think anyone of them would be considered abstintent.....as they are naturally ordering an ice tea over alcohol. I used to take every opportunity to order a drink.

I already think the revolution is on....just like with smoking. People have realized that they don't feel well after poison...they may have it at times.....but not every freaking day!

I can't see what part of the world you are in but here in NZ being sober is rebellious!

Here 85% drink alcohol, 60% admitted to binge drinking at least once in the last year and 18% have a potentially hazardous drinking pattern. These are government statistics!

When I have been to parties involving all age groups I am the only non- drinker, and I move in quite conservative and polite circles.

In New Zealand 'the revolution' hasn't even been whispered about.

So I'm still with Allan on this, and being an ex-pat Pom , I know what the UK is like too,

        WE ARE, INDEED REBELS,

I also think it odd that anyone who has RECOGNIZED that they are drinking POISON would continue to consume ANY of it!

IMHO the vast majority of people view alcohol as a socially acceptable beverage to be consumed by adults for the purposes of relaxation ....... Because that is how it is marketed!

If anyone doubts it, try telling someone sipping a glass of wine that they are only consuming it because they are seeking the intoxicating effects of the POISON. You will then be defensively informed that it is for the flavor, the fine body, the bouquet, the way it improves the quality of the food......... Bullcrap they are taking it for the POISON.

If you were to offer these same 'normal' drinkers the same tasting liquid but alcohol free they would run for the hills........IMHO Flower
