Hi Quest. No, honestly, I didn't. I did take some vitamin/mineral supps, and use calms forte and nerve tonic for sleep - but I didn't read the book or use Kuzdzu or L-glutamine. I do, however, think it's great that you ordered the stuff - it should help you immensely!

In the mean time, there are so many wonderful places right here to help you avert those cravings. I'm sure you've found the tool box. And you know to eat and drink when a craving hits. Make sure you aren't hungry or thirsty as those can be interpreted as a need for alcohol.

Also, stop what you're doing. Go to another room, call someone, clean out a closet (as k9 suggests!), try to name off all of your cousins (as Byrdie suggests - LOL!), Do ANYTHING to get your mind going in a different direction. K9 also gave the brilliant idea of moving some furniture around in your home....if your environment feels different, there won't be so many visual cues for drinking.

And keep talking to us here! Hang in there. :l

Hi Quest, I havent done the whole programme but there is lots of useful stuff in the book and on here. I find the L glut powder great, its way better than the capsules, just mix a spoonful with water and it does help with cravings. I am also 2 days into topa, the is a thread on it in the meds section on here if you want to find out any more about that.

As lolab said, make sure you eat and drink enough in fact drink plenty of water or other non al fluids it will really help you may be dehydrated from drinking and vitamins/supps will help get you feeling better as well. I love that idea of moving furniture, in fact I think I will do my bedroom tomorrow, it does make everything clean and nice and different, not sitting in the same place you sat to drink in for example.

If you can get out for a walk it will do you good, both for the fresh air and excercise physically and mentally is good for you and will take your mind off cravings, but if your like me dont take any money or walk past the shop tho.

Keep reading on here and post as much as you need to, dont worry about what you say no one minds if you post too much if it keeps you away from getting drunk.

Well done on 3 days, keep up the good work
