El- I downloaded various free apps from the Microsoft store (Logo Customizer & Phototastic Collage). I look for images on the internet, save them to my computer as jpegs, then upload them into the apps where I add text & effects. For the soup can, first I opened up the image in Paint and took out the soup name that was there, then re saved it to work with. Once I finish the modifying the image with text etc , I resize it in office (computer, small), then upload it to Photobucket. Photobucket is how I upload all images. Its the only way that I know of to upload an image larger than an thumbnail. To use it, you need to open an account, but its free. It takes a bit of time (you've prolly surmised by now that I have plenty). If you have an ipad you can do a search for logo apps and find something similar. As you are an artist, I'm sure you would create amazing things!

My icons stink plus when I use them on my laptop it makes it lock up, I have to use the code for them. May try to do the app thing and be more HIP like you!

Thanks Byrdie! Your cakes are amazing- the flip flops and the towel = totally precious! You should do a doll house cake! That would be probably be A CRAZY amount of work! Or a Picasso dove? That would be cool too! Your beach scene is definite my favorite!
